Heal Me
Prologue||
She shut the laptop screen after lingering her gaze over some old photographs, for don't know how long. Lost in the thoughts that seemed to have engulfed her soul, she stood up. Hugging herself, she wounded her arms around her shoulder, rubbing her cold skin. Winter had been turning shivering day per day, thought she. But then, wasn't it the thing she loved about the particular season? She had been always more excited about winters than the other ones. Without any specific reason, she just loved winters.
"Butterfly, don't run faster. You might hurt yourself." A seven year old boy shouted running after a small girl, clad in a baby pink frock, making the beautiful melody with tiny anklets she wore in her legs. Their sound guided him to her direction.
Tripping over something, she lost her balance. A shriek escaped her lips in fear of falling which cut off short when she was held by a pair of arms before she could hit ground. Eyes still closed, continuously muttering something in her childish tone, which he did not need to hear knowing well, that she must be praying to god.
Knowing she hadn't kissed ground, she opened her eyes and soon her fear switched to giggles, when she found a very familiar face... him, her Shivaay, her best friend. "Yay, you didn't let me fall." Clapping hands, she beamed at him.
Frowning, he straightened her. "Butterfly, he glared, emphasizing on her name. "First thing, didn't I ask you run slowly?"
She was about to interrupt when he continued, "And of course, I won't let you get hurt... never." His small palms clasped her tiny ones, saying as a matter of fact.
"I'll be always there, to save you, from everything that can hurt you." The words of little boy may be plain but they were nothing but a straightforward promise from him to his best friend.
"You did not keep your promise. You weren't there for your butterfly." Hurt spoke through her words. Her eyes shedding pearls, burdened her heart more with pain. She might never voice out, she might never let her grief come out but deep inside, she was dealing with the things so severe, that could just tear her inside out, shatter her soul breaking whatever pieces she was holding somehow.

I promise, this is the last new fic for the next couple of months. I found this today in my folder and was absolutely disappointed that I had left this incomplete. At least if I post this now, I'll have to pen this down. This might turn out as a SS if I fail to complete in three parts.
Since holidays ended and life started again, all the updates would be slower, at least till Nov.
