I think halala was put in to make it difficult to take marriage as a joke. As far as I understand triple talaq is also not to be uttered one after the other or thru text but after thought and so that one takes it seriously and doesn't treat it lightly they have things like halala which should make one think 10 times before taking steps like divorce. But in India everything is bent to the mans favour and all such nonsense goes on. Even in our Hindu religion where there is a belief that the girls star indicates that her first husband will die they marry them to trees and dogs and such shit. So it's people who twist and misuse religion to serve ones purpose.
At least that's what I think. I am not a Muslim and my view is only based on talking with people/ watching movies and reading stuff. I may be completely wrong. But I am a Hindu and I know I am right there.

Going back to ex-husband is not allowed just like that to make sure that people dont make marriage and divoce a joke. Jab dil kiya divorce de di jab dil kiya wapis mil gaye .. halala has to be UNINTENTIONAL .. if the second marriage breaks ON ITS OWN then a woman is allowed to go back to her first husband if she wants.

I dont find any women oppression in it, in fact a woman is allowed to restart her life without any lingering options of her past and also, if a man wants his wife back and repents it serves as an example for the society to not take divorce easily.

And also, anyone who does halala with an intention of getting divorced is wrong, might as well just get remarried to the first husband bcz this halala is totally useless.
