Me and My KRPKAB

It all began with three promos (coffee shop , telephone and pen). My fav is the one in which Dev used a pen as a reason to come and meet his Sonakshi. She returns that pen to her Dev , as if she is returning him the reason so that they can meet again. And we also knew from all the three promos that his mom is the one who will be the cause of their pain. I decided to watch it. As the story took a start , I knew this is going to be a beautiful journey and I wanted to be a part of it every minute. My curiousity to know more about this story , its cast and crew lead me to India Forms and Face Book - in short my first step towards social networking...and then there was no looking back. Mon - Fri 9:30 pm , I waited eagerly to watch the show and from 9:30 till god knows when ...online reading/commenting on IFs. Then on weekends wait eagerly for segments , joint IVs, FF, OS , TS etc etc

This is one show in which I started the journey knowing that even thou they love each other , they are bound to part or there is going to be a breakup...in fact after seeing Dev's behaviour , I as a viewer waited eagerly for their breakup... but when they broke up... I couldnt take it. To top it all our lovely CVs brought in third angles..not once but mltiple times and my poor BP increased every time a third angle appeard on screen (Mujhe kabab mein haddi bilkul pasand nahi hain )

Some of the tracks/scenes that I always would love to watch

1) Them meeting for the first time
2) Titanic pose and Neha's wedding track
3) Accident scene
4) Dev's confession
5) 50 shades of Dixit
6) Date at his house
7) Scene in which they write each other's name on their body
8) Their wedding
9) Consumation
10) All their vertical /horizontal lifts and flying hug
11) Dev's realisation that he has a daughter
12) Them getting locked at her place and the garden scene in which he stares at her while she is washing her face
13) Their first night together as a family at Bose house
14) Post leap , after Ishwari accepts Sonakshi and then she suggests Dev should get married , he comes and tells Sonakshi about it. From then on I have every Dev - Sonakshi scene till Sonakshi's confession.
15) Sonakshi's dance when she hears Dev telling his mom and he doesnt want to marry Natasha.
16) Double Date
17) Jealous Dev Dixit
18) Their late night coffee dates'
19) First formal dance and the rain dance.
20) Their first video chat
and last but not the least
21) The way they look into each other eyes...OMG!!

Some of the dialogues I liked

1) I love you like a man loves a woman
2) I want to know everything about you
3) Pyar hamein haq detha hain
4) Mein voh jagah kisi aur ko nahi dhe saktha jo meine tumhe dhe thi
5) I need you for myself
6) Boyfriend...voh mere boyfriend hain ( I know there isnt much in this dialogue...but when you see Sonakshi saying this...its too cute )
7) Lambi Sans lo
8) Main tumse dhoor nahi jana chahtha and mein tumhe mujse dhoor jane nahi donga
9) Tumse pehle aj tak meine apne liye kisi cheez ko chaha hi nahi
10) Apse bhi zyadha mein apko janna chahatha hum.
11) Tumhare bare mein kaun sochega
12) Dho pyar karne walom mein ithni thakath hain ki unke beech mein koyi nahi aa saktha...
13) pyar karne ka haq sabko hain aur pyar pana ka haq bhi
14) pyar thakath bhi hain , pyar kumzori bhi..
15) jab koyi pyar kartha hain to love stories banthe hain aur jab koyi pyar nibhatha hain toh fairytales banthe hain.
16) I am a difficult man to deal with , kya tum is rishthe ke liye thaiyar ho , mere liye thaiyar ho...main thaiyar hum Dev, akpe liye aur ap se judi har bath ke liye
17) Bharish aye na aye ..ap ayenge toh man kudh hi bheeg jayenge
18) Love is beautiful , hotha toh kudh ko hain par aisa lagtha hain ki sab kuch badhal gaya ho...jaise pehali bharish ke badh jaise dhuniya dhuli dhuli si lagthi hain..

And many more...during the journey...some Liked Dev , some liked Sonakshi and all of us liked Ishwari "on very few occassion" ( Dont ask when , I cant remember ). In spite of our likes and dislikes towards different characters ... there was one thing that was common among all of us..our addiction towards this show. No matter what...we were not able to get out of it. And today , even when the show aired its final episode...I am yet to come in terms with it and I wonder why...after all its just a serial..so why is that I find it difficult to accept the closure...I feel its because I was able to relate to this serial...I could call it as "My KRPKAB"...and anything that is yours , you will find it difficult to let go. For me KRPKAB will never come to a close. It will stay with me and I will keep watching it as long as it is there on line...

The tag line of the serial is "kya pathe hain aur kya kothe hain jab dhilon ke failse bhi dimag se hothe hai". After watching the show what I feel is ..KRPKAB is like a beautiful memory , hence both ur heart and brain will not allow you to forget...will not allow you to let go...

...kuch rang pyar ke aise bhi...

PS : This is one serial which showed the power of eye lock and proved that eye contact is much more intimate than words /deeds can be .

Ya we had so many beautiful moments. Concept was not new but the presentation was.
I started watching Krpkab for Shaheer, so more than anyone else I would miss him surely
And of course the beautiful well executed journey of a young boy turning into a perfect man that any
Mother would desire, that every girl would desire, that every daughter will desire.

So relatable story that wrong seems right or right seems wrong..

Did u notice almost every scene u mentioned was pre-leap ones. Even in the last epi, all flashbacks were of preleap. First 100 episodes are just so beautiful that we can watch it again n again n relive Devakshi journey from strangers to friends to partners. I wish we had the same journey post leap too.
Really hard to bid farewell to the show which touched everyone's heart.

Agreed...that first 100- 125 episodes were too good...post leap I liked all Dev - Sonakshi scenes till Sonakshi's confession...though many a times I have felt it lacked a lot in terms of the back end work like editing , story , dialogues and even the flow...

ashwathy, you summed it up very well.

i think it holds good for many of us..

the first 100 odd episodes will be continue to be the most outstanding of episodes for any show.

best wishes...
