Neil's 'love' for Juhi?!?!

Did Neil ever truly love Juhi? So often we hear the cliched line "You only love once", but realistically humans can fall in love many times. But I believe that true love can only be found once. That is why I think Juhi, although Neil's first love, was nothing more than just his first love...not his true love.

Since Neil's character was introduced, he was seen as a grounded, sensible and mature guy who seemed to also have a very positive and jolly streak to him. Very rarely did I ever see a guy nursing a broken heart and trying to move on from his lost love when seeing Neil. It was only maybe once or twice where he thought about Juhi and said that nobody could take her place in his life and heart, other than that, he never seemed that much upset and heartbroken over losing Juhi. I guess more than anything that just makes him a practical guy, who doesn't believe in lingering over things for too long or letting emotions control and dictate his life, so perhaps more than anything his love and heartbreak over losing juhi was suppressed in order to move on in life. That's something I like about Neil; he's emotional, but doesn't let his emotions control him in anyway. He's very practical and forward-thinking.

In my eyes, I think Juhi was never his true love, because if she was, Avni would never have been able to take Juhi's place in his heart. He said he wouldn't allow a girl to take Juhi's place, but he willingly did, even despite Avni's reluctance to open up to him and to assure him that she also has feelings for him. he still stuck by Avni and refused to leave her. Clearly Juhi was nothing more than just his first love, but Avni is the "One".

I can see in the near future with juhi's track reopening that Neil will be in a dilemma over his feelings for both Juhi and Avni, forcing him to re-evaluate his feelings and relationship with both girls, and I'm hoping that the points I made about love happening more than once, and true love only happening once, somebody tells Neil all these points when he is in this dilemma. Preferably Bebe, but I'm fine with prakash too talking to his son about this. Only then Neil may realise that he has moved on from Juhi, but that doesn't mean he never loved Juhi...Just she wasn't the "One".

I think you can love more than one time in your life. (Right now there is a Twitter war going on about this same subject!). LOL

Anyways, I too believe that Juhi was Neil's first love and her tragic death made her an immortal memory for him. Who knows had she lived, what would have transpired between them in the future? Would the relationship have lasted for good, would it have ended in marriage, or ended at some point because the two people realise they were not meant for each other forever? (These things DO happen in real life all the time).

That is why I hope that the CV's take a realistic approach to this. Neil was always practical. I think Juhi has been dead for maybe 2 years or more. He got ready to marry someone through an arranged marriage, coz he realises getting married is important, and he's not going to stay single forever coz his ex died. Yes he was still in his heart mourning her. But not in a Devdas way crying and drinking. Maybe initially you are very depressed, but you come out of it eventually and then you mourn someone in your heart, but your life goes on. Same happened with Neil. He was getting ready to even do an arranged marriage. All good till this point.

THEN he meets Avni. Totally by chance and they have a connection. At least Neil feels this attraction, this pull from the first time he saw her. More like the "Feeling" of her when he sees her at the bank. Then the full on confrontation after the fall. He literally "Fell" for this perfect stranger. Even Ali was laughing at him about it. Telling him that he is having "Buri Halat" after meeting this stranger, and "Kya humari Neil sahab ko mohobat to nahi hogayi?". He laughed at Neil for sitting in a corner and thinking of some girl he doesnt even really know. So THAT was Avni's intro to Neil's life. We all know what happens after this. He keeps meeting her here and there and his fascination/obsession continues to grow. We are shown him sharing something about how he has "lived love" in the Bhang ke Nashe sequence and also feels guilty after seeing Avni's hand in his in the Haldi sequence and tells Juhi no one will take her place.

I firmly believe that no one takes anyone's "Place". Everyone has their own place! Koi Kisi ka Jaga Nehi Le Saktha, Sirf Apni Jaga Bana saktha hai! That is exactly what happened here! Juhi had a place in Neil's heart and always will! Avni ne Apni Kudh ki Jaga Bana di, which is HER own! NOT Juhi's place. Neil loves Avni yes. He loved Juhi, Yes. But they were different loves. I feel his love for Juhi was not like this raging thing that he feels for Avni. Love is also different sometimes. With a different person love can be a totally different experience. I think that is what happened to Neil. It took him a long time to realise his feelings coz one he was busy denying them and two, coz this is not what love felt like last time to him? Maybe that's why he didnt know this was love? But it is.

I also think that Juhi was his first love but Avni is the Love of Neil's life. I think it's time Neil realised this too. I guess he will in this track!

Juhi was Neil'a first love, the first love my hold a special place in one's heart. Neil also mentioned that no one can take Juhi's place.

I think Avni has made her own special place in Neil's heart.

For Neil, Juhi was no more so I'm looking forward to how he reacts. What will he be thinking? How would he communicate with Avni and Juhi etc?

A heart to heart convo about this situation between Neil and either Bebe/Prakash would be nice.
