Affan's dad opens up on the PPK controversy

Pehredaar Piya Ki has been in the news from even before its launch for its content. The show which is helmed by Shashi Sumeet Productions and is beamed on Sony Entertainment Television recently received a huge backlash coming from the fraternity as well as audience. All this has resulted in the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) giving out an order for the show to go through a shift in time and settle at the 10.30 PM slot.

For the first time lead actor Affan Khan's dad Jameel Khan opened up on the controversy with IndianWikiMedia.

"We as parents to our kid are focusing on Affan's acting career. He is doing great and we are happy. The production people cleared all the doubts by holding a press conference.

He continued, "I am thankful to Sony TV and Shashi Sumeet Production for giving an opportunity to our kid Affan. He is a known face in the industry.

When asked about his take on the controversies revolving around the show, he averred, "As I said we are focussing on Affan's acting. There are a lot of twists and mystery in the storyline which audience is not aware of. They will get to know it as the story progresses. I think the show is getting its TRP not because of the controversy but because of its content.
