I have been attached only with 2 shows till date on TV which were sadly scrapped at its peak time.
1. Iss pyaar Ko kya Naam doon season 1- This show was scrapped in just 2 days in November 2012 because of cast reasons at its peak and it took me next 3 years to overcome the Hangover.

2. KRPKAB- And again this show after so many years. I began to watch this show late, nearly around the first proposal and the breakup scene. My entire family instantly connected to the storyline as it felt real. I finally thought that Indian drama can be beautiful too without any non sense in the name of entertainment. Even though show had ups and downs, yet I never missed watching a single episode of it. Watched it about twice or even thrice now. And again the show has been scrapped all of a sudden. And I have no idea how many years will it take to overcome it's Hangover. This show had everything I could imagine in relationships of every kind. I came more opined about my entire belief about love, relationships. This show gave some major goals about everything.

While the cast of both the shows was stellar and very kind. Their off-screen chemistry is something that could be easily seen on the screen too. I became an ardent fan of leads of both the shows even though I didn't watch any of their previous shows ardently. Even though all good things come to an early end but ending the story with too many holes is disheartening.

I really think it's high time Indian TV come with finite series format. No matter how good the show is, atleast we will be prepared for the end in the finite time which won't be so painful to accept.
Dehleez and POW on star plus were the finite series and both were absolutely spectacular in all the ways. They were finite and weren't compromised with the storyline even though I badly wanted them to show some more. Apart from the above two these two will always remain my favorites Indian shows ever.

KRPKAB would have definitely topped the charts if it had aired on other channels other than Sony and Life OK. Both of these channels are pathetic for family dramas. If baseless shows can garner such high TRPs then this was definitely the first show with firm family base with everything that Indian audience finds real- the Saas bahut drama, love, romance, leap and all.

And as for TRPs, as long as we have Ekta's shows running on TV with non sense stories and still high TRPs, Indian TV is doomed and now Gul Khan has made recent entry to this list. With Ishqbaaz and IPKKND season 3. Even Zindagi made an attempt at bringing the finite series culture with some brilliant Indian shows that addressed real issues, but it failed and was pulled off air. Every unconventional show that has aired on TV in past few years had meagre TRPs and we're pulled off because of this reason.

I sometime think that Indian conventional audience deserve such crap shows like yeah rishta, KKB, SSK, etc. And still they have audacity to compare each of their show with Game of Thrones, which is even though fantasy is a completely different level altogether. And Indian TV won't reach that level even in next 50 years to come with such pace. And this is one of the reason why I have switched to English, turkish, Pakistani and Korean shows because they are simply beautiful and finite. Their seasonal end doesn't hurt that bad as the others being scrapped in the moddle because a part of me is well prepared to face that end.

I used to love this drama but stopped midway after the 7 yr leap. I was so attached like you to this before and IPKND1 as well. I agree with what you said. . I have switched to iPakistani dramas or only finite shows of Indian TV. I even started watching this thinking it was finite but no they stretched it and it got ruined( my own view) I think they should have ended it on a happy note before as well. Not effected by it going off air as much as I would have been before but I understand how you feel. I loved Dahleez as well.

Totally agree with u. I was too hooked up with IPKKND 1 and KRPKAB. I learnt my lesson well this time. Not to indulge too much in such romantic shows. It hurts when it ends abruptly. At least English n Pakistani shows are better with few episodes. But I like both these shows very much.

One of the reasons I started watching this show was that it was said to be a tight scripted story and finite series. 1 year extension actually was not handled well.

I didn't saw ippknd but I heard it was very good , chemistry was also attracting, concept was fresh at least very much better than s2 and s3.
About krpkab don't know what to say. It was my first time I watched any serial daily but unfortunately it ended abruptly.
Plot is so realistic, the chemistry was so realistic, even the bgm not loud like other serials. It was become my part of life. Though every episodes r not perfect but I used to watched it daily . Every characters were written beautifully . Sometimes I really forgot I was just a drama . It was like a fairy tales.
can't expect this from Sony . I think it was a lesson for me.

Please don't be frustrated, it happens with everyone who are addicted to Indian TV Show. Its a business for the channel and the productions house, its a salary for the artists. But all are attached to the show emotionally. As viewers, it becomes part of our life when we miss the serial. Everyone wants to have more. If the same serial was in other channel, the logic would be different. Too much of drama, too much of twists and turns. This was a normal, simple and effective show, which touched our hearts too much. We have to be happy that its ending. One day or the other day it should end, it will be still difficult if it was still longer.
I only want one change in serials, it should be fixed only to 1 or 1.2 yr. It should not be too long. In some serials I don't want to mention, they are bring so much of twist and turns. To mention.
1. Wife marries the same husband twice.
2. Loss of memory.
3. Accident.
4. Terroist attack
5. Earthquake Oh God, what not.

And in some of the serial, the male member will always be the show piece, he will only wear kurta and the female will be durga mata taking care of the house and rituals and the bahu - bahu mahan.

The celebrations of the festivals, marriages are so much extravagantly spent.that it looks so gaudy and horrible. The jewels worn by the bahuranis are so rich, which female now will wear this type of jewels in the house.
