Aaj toh existential crisis ho gaya...Anika ko bhi, aur hum bechaare fandom ko bhi😆
Today was one of those once in a blue moon candid and self-deprecating Shivika scenes that are increasingly rarer to find in this dragged out storyline these days...as I was preparing myself to zone out through yet another repeated argument of "Tum shaadi karna chahti ho, main shaadi karvaa raha hoon"🥱, suddenly I sit up as Anika calls for a time out😲😆...actually puts aside her ego, her tadi etc. etc. for once, requests Shivaay to do the same and decides to straight up ask if this nonsense should be happening...and even more shockingly for once, Shivaay himself doesn't hide behind his ego and his tadi...yeh miracle kaise ho gaya...usually these two are King and Queen of bad timing all thanks to Writer Saahiba ke mood swings😆
But all the jokes and flippancy aside, today was a lovely scene...vintage Shivika...emotional and candid communication alongside their trademark goofiness...
Just little nuances sprinkled throughout that really elevated it...as I was saying elsewhere...this one scene where they didn't even touch each other was far more effective in portraying their yearning for each other than the endless trip/catch and other hormonal cliched scenes stuffed in from time to time can...
Like this bit when Anika reaches out to touch his arm but backs off
And an Anika for once asking Shivaay to look into her eyes...usually he's the one coaxing her to look into his
When she asked him if they both deserved this after everything they had been through, I had to kinda laugh cuz it had me wondering if we as a fandom also deserved this after seeing so much growth and evolution in these characters
And then the hilarious bit with Shivaay getting freaked out thinking she's gonna throw water on him😆...almost felt like the good old days...haha
And my fav. bit today..."Kya hoga humara...tumhara...tumhein aur koi nahin jhel sakta"😆
This moment right after this where they move towards each other in just a few increments and there's that slight smile on Anika's face...says so much
For once they're actually trying to work out a solution...LOL usmein bhi Shivaay ne apna taunt maar hi liya😆...kitne dard se bola...everything happens tumhaare hisaab se hi😆
And finally the sheer JOY on their faces at the idea of cancelling this farce😆
A nice reprieve today from the endless drag and repetitiveness...dunno what flip tomorrow will bring...but today was nice.
