It's not related to the show but it's related to surrogacy..has anyone seen that movie 'chori chori chupke chupke' starring Salman rani n Preity?..that movie also involved the concept of surrogacy..according to my knowledge,a surrogate mother is not the biological mother of the child in her womb, the biological or real mother is the one whose egg is implanted inside the womb of the surrogate mother along with the sperm of the father..and she is not related to the child biologically..but in that movie,I think Salman's character impregnated preity's character because his wife(rani) forced him to have some moments with her so that she gets pregnant,so I thought that after having sex she got pregnant..so how can it be termed as 'surrogacy' 😕...can someone please enlighten me on the topic of surrogacy in simple n precise words?..I would be grateful..and is the surrogate mother related to the foetus in any biological way?..please clear my doubt.

Surrogacy is just renting of womb. In other words taking uterus in lease from the time of implantment of embryo till birth of child. If a woman has healthy ova (egg) but faulty uterus, she still can be mother of her own child via surrogacy. The genes of the surrogate mother is not transferred to the child if IVF( intvitro fertilization) Is done.
In case, female cannot produce ova, then there are donor ovums, but they are scarce as only one ovum is produced by females in a month. See how valuable females are;worth a lot !!!

I think the one u have described is the 'gestational surrogacy' in which the child is not genetically related to the surrogate mother..and I have read that in 'traditional surrogacy' the surrogate mother is genetically related to the child...I guess there are different types of surrogacies.

Richa, I fear by the end of this track your brain will overflow with doubts about pregnency and you may end up consulting a gynecologist for answers to your questions 😆
Surrogacy is like growing one's baby in another's womb..Just a place to grow nothing else relates..😃

Sharing here my medical knowledge-🤓

Surrogacy is a very sensitive subject...
Its like renting of a womb, like sometimes there is absolutely no problem with the woman's fertility, but her womb is unfit for nourishing an embroy, then through IVF or various similar techniques, the father's sperm and mother's ova are taken, they are fused together under extremely controlled conditions in a lab,and when the zygote reaches a sixteen-celled stage, through a surgery its transferred to the womb of a surrogate mother, and then for the surrogate mother,a normal pregnancy follows...
The child biologically belongs to the mother and father.
And its a very expensive process..

In the movie,"Chori chori chupke chupke"...what was shown cannot be called surrogacy at all,coz Salman and Preity had consummated and the child biologically didn't belonged to Rani.

There are an altogether another set of laws for surrogacy in India, like only a near relative can be a surrogate mother.
SRK's third child was born through this process,as his wife had some complications.

If you need some more Richa, then Google and Wikipedia are for you😊

A surrogate mother can also be the biological mother if she donates not just her womb but also her eggs for the purpose. In some cases, when the woman is unable to conceive and also not able to produce eggs, the surrogate mothers eggs are used with the sperm from the biological father. Then the IVF procedure follows. But this is called partial surrogacy since the surrogate mother will also be the biological mother. Also, some celebrity single fathers have opted for this method of surrogacy since they had no partners at that point in time. However, what is shown in the above said movie is not surrogacy it's only that Priety Zinta opted to have the baby for Rani, and of course being a movie they couldn't have chosen to go with regular method of surrogacy because then there'll not be enough drama.

@bold I was just about to say that ... Or they could also get a donor , someone else's eggs ( not belonging to the surgate mother or the person who wants the child , sometimes it comes from a relative )

Divya and Rabia, what u have described is true and it's called gestational surrogacy, where the unborn child is not related to the surrogate mother genetically, she's just called the 'birth mother',but in traditional surrogacy, the surrogate mother is the real or the biological mother of the child as in that, her own eggs are involved through artificial insemination with the father's sperm.I didn't know about it before...and Rabia I know yr I was always confused that how come the term 'surrogacy' was always used for that movie, poor knowledge of the makers I guess

Yaar movies and serials usually screw up with medical terms and laws and thus confuse the viewers.Makers shd seriously get a thorough knowledge of such sensitive topics and then show it n not just show anything to create drama.
And surrogacy concept is shown in many serials in such a way that it ends up being a love triangle and unnneccery bullshit🤢 that instead of being inspired viewers get scared of choosing such concept😲
