@itzmyattitude: totally agree, how can people say shivaay only get popular because he began to mend his ways??? mend really, every fan who is watching IB from day one knows how shivaay's character is written and what kind of a person shivaay is, he was popular from day one and Nakul Mehta has performed splendidly throughout the show and the most entertaining part is that he has played so many different roles in one role of shivaay singh oberoi because shivaay is a many layered character and no matter how crude it sounds to me who is a big fan of shivaay that these days I am unable to connect shivaay with the ongoing track because cvs have ruined this beautifully written character and same I will say for anika although I know that anika fandom will not agree but still it's my POV and can't be changed until cvs themselves don't show anika we know from day one of IB.

I think I understand what you're trying to say.

Yes of course Shivaay has made countless mistakes in the past. Taking away Prinku's freedom to choose to marry a person she likes - Dev - because of NKK, hiding the truth of Om's legitimacy which is his right to know ,marrying and divorcing Annika without any considerations due to his majbooris among plenty other things. His journey into becoming a man worthy of Annika's love is a completely different thing that deserves a separate writing of its own.

But its not even about that.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Yes, we can ignore this statement and still hold this against Shivaay (I actually do in a way.. what he did just can't be forgotten when he too never really apologized..but oh thats another story). But that is the reason that I pointed out that relationships aren't tallies to be made because if these things are accounted, the whole thing will take a different and complicated turn. Plus, everyone has different perspectives for the same situation.

While Shivaay could have done some stuff differently even in THIS MU, it doesn't change the wrong that Annika did. Especially when their relationship was at the stage it was when Pinky pulled that stunt.

She might have has the right intentions but it doesn't make sense. What she did. And what OmRu did or are doing either.

Basically, yes, its the writers that are screwing up.
