I just can't stand Shweta and Rhea anymore. Avni went out of her way to make Shweta happy, to make Bebe accept her and this is how she pays back.
And i don't understand why Rhea is still living in the Khanna house, why isn't she leaving???!!! 😆

Ep 258, 7th August

Finally truth is out!

The first scene between AvNeil was interesting, it seemed to me like Neil was trying to make her understand what he feels towards her but as usual she doesn't get the clue. He said when he got married to her he used to hate her (big liar!!!, I'll be back to confront you Neil Khanna with solid proofs, but for now let's finish the episode's review lol), so basically he was trying to explain that things have changed now (if you ask me what has changed is that now he has accepted her and is no more in his denial mode), but she didn't seem to get the clue, hence he called her tubelight lol. Neela also got frustrated with her clueless daughter, the latter thinks he hates her seriously! Lool

The jail scenes are annoying, zero entertainment, completely devoid of class. And Rhea! What can I tell about this stupid girl?!, she thinks she won a nobel prize by becoming Dayavanti's puppet and she feels happy that her grand mother will be proud of her!!. This girl has no purpose in life, but the worst is she has no brains either, following her murderer criminal of a grand-mother whom she knows very well and all what she is able of doing. Isn't this the same Dayavanti Mehta who threatened to kill her so that she joins Avni and Ayesha if she doesn't marry Neil?!, isn't this the same partial Dayavanti who used to favor Amol over her?!, yet she is ready to follow her and she feels that she has done some achievement by executing her orders and succeeding in her ploys!! Anyways let her do it, seems she needs to learn her lesson the hard way and that too if she ever learns it!!

Anyways Avni decides to tell the truth and she talks about the same with Ali, and I liked the fact that he was ready to confess everything he did in front of her alas they were interrupted and he couldn't tell her about Rhea and Shweta's plans. Avni didn't shy away from confessing that she is Avni, Ashish Mehta and Ayesha Haidar's daughter. Prakash was mainly upset because she hid the truth from them but what did he expect her to do?!, did he expect Avni to shout it to the four winds, knowing that she has a dangerous grand-mother who killed her mother and would not bat an eyelid killing her!!! She was bound to be cautious and keep the secret lest Dayavanti smells something otherwise how can her revenge plans succeed! Anyways we know Prakash will stand by her side and that's enough, he doesn't judge her for what her parents did.

The most disappointing stand was definitely Bebe's, she was clearly against Avni because she was conceived out of wedlock, and for her Avni can't handle her relationship with Neil when her parents' wasn't a legitimate one. She doesn't care about the fact that Ashish recognized his daughter legally! How cruel and highly unfair to judge a person for their parents' mistakes!

Neil went from there because of his case, but dear Neil, there is an invention called phone that you can use to make calls, send messages, leave voice mails, why take the risk of asking someone else to inform your wife that you will go out, even if they are not ill intentioned the way Rhea is, they might just forget, so the safest way is to reach to the person directly, since they have their phone which is for personal use!

Again it's conveniently done so that someone says that he went from there without informing his wife and let her alone to face all the humiliations!!

About the new OLVs, I just hope that before sending him away, Avni explains why! He very well understands that the way his family behaved with her was so wrong, but she should at least tell him that she is not coming back because she doesn't want to create a rift between him and his family. I hope she doesn't behave in a cold way with him, or make it seem as if she is angry with him and not that she is doing it for him!!

I agree with someone who said these two need to communicate, they need to discuss things in a deep way!

Ri, interesting points to reflect on! what is love?! what are the different phases of love, when can we really say a person is in love? Like you I'd also like to read the different takes about this matter, as I myself like to see things from other perspectives.

With regards to Neil I think he is already in love, which phase exactly I might not know as I'm not expert in these matters, but it would be fun to make a research about this matter from a phychological point of view.

Why do I think he loves her?

Since day one he liked her, first physically, he was smitten by her beauty and then for her qualities, she was unlike other girls, courageous, determined, strong, no damsel in distress, mysterious and intriguing. If we want to add magic to that, remember that moment in the hospital when she walked besides him and he just turned his face to look at her without even seeing her face he kept looking, it was like some invisible force was pulling him towards her.

Their first encounter left a strong impact on him, he kept thinking of her for a while after that, he even made the sketch of the person she told him saved her, this much interest he had in her since day 1.

This kept becoming even more stronger with each of their encounters, yes as a police officer too he felt something fishy about her but his personal interest made him more interested in her case. He always wanted to trust her and he felt hurt each time she proved his doubts, about her lying or hiding something, right.

She started occupying his toughts all the time, and he was always trying to convince himself that she is just a case for him while he kept getting close to her, starring at her and helping her all the time.

There were two strong telling incidents about his feelings towards her before their marriage:

- The first one when he saved her during the gas leak incident. He was so disturbed and went through a strong emotional pain when he thought he was going to lose her, he cried then and it even was the first time Neela notices what Neil feels for Avni. He told Ananya "kab tum mujhe heart attack dena band karogi". He knew it that time that she affected him especially when DD told him that he called her Juhi but he covered the whole thing and he was in denial mode. When he was taking shower, he was so angry against his own feelings and he wondered why he called Ananya Juhi, he said that before now he never felt the fear of losing someone, he was so shaked ki he asked himself "yeh ho kya raha hai mujhe?" and then he kept having her flashbacks then he got angry and tried to convince himself that she is just a criminal and that he can't get weak and he should only hate her!!
- The second time when he had that daydream during the haldi ceremony, it was his subconscious freeing him from his guilt towards Juhi and expressing his inner wish which is to have Ananya in his life as his love! I know some might see it as a sign that Juhi herself gave him green light to move on, but that was day time 😆 and on a practical note, if he had that dream then it's his subconscious playing tricks on him. Even then he felt guilty and carried on with his denial mode when he talked to Juhi's picture telling her that no one can take her place!

And by the way which dulha keeps having another woman's flashbacks during his shaadi, I know he planned it to be a fake shaadi, but he kept thinking about Ananya and not only about the case, he always gets flashbacks of their moments together, he thought about Neela's words about him loving her...

When they got married, he asked her why she did it, and he told her to look into his eyes and to tell him she did it for him if it was true, but he knew she was lying and it hurt him a lot!

When she is in pain, he has tears in his eyes, the day she disclosed her truth to him (though he knew it already) her pain brought tears to his eyes, he can't stand her tears, he feels pained, he is a good human being but he would feel this much affected only for people who mean a lot to him!

And let's not forget the jealousy part, even before her birthday night, there was another instance where he felt jealous of Avni and Ali's closeness, it was when she was attending to his wound post Ketan breaking into the house, she talked about her friendship with Ali, and she asked him about his wound but he answered about something else telling her he will make sure he doesn't get wounded again! He asked himself why it affected him!

How he felt hurt to think she might leave him after Dayavanti was arrested, he also felt hurt when he thought she stayed with him for ehsaan... the way he felt when she left the house and the longing he had for her and the relief he felt when she came back, he forgot everything and ran to her with so much happiness like if his soul got back to his body!

The way he felt when he had that dream about her telling him she loves Ali!! ...

The way he felt again when she had hypothermia..and now he is missing her after she left the house for the second time...

I mean there are countless instances where his love was more than obvious, it crossed the line of just attraction or liking, she means a lot to him now, he wants to have a real relationship with her but obviously he needs to be sure of how she feels as he doesn't want to pressurize her! When you are in love, you don't necessarily need to tell yourself I'm in love, you just feel it I guess!

Obviosuly in Avni's case things are different as she usually doesn't let her feelings out, moreover she had a lot on her plate to think about love, but she was attracted to him as well. She respected him and admired him for the good human being he is. Post marriage she had his support and she drew strength from him, she was bound to love him, who wouldn't?!, she also started to be more aware of him as a man, the way she was checking him out when he was repairing his bike (but I guess the attraction part was always there, whenever he flirted with her she used to get affected and it's not like she pushes him right away, had it been another man she would have attacked him the way she did with him the first time 😆!). When she left the house post the incident with Ali, she had mainly his flashbacks, she didn't think about others and their love, she only thought about Neil and imagined that he came to her house, that he trusted her, and how can we forget how much agitated, disturbed and shattered she felt to the idea of him not wanting this marriage and would like to break it!!!


I think both are above crush, attraction, liking...I think both are in love. Obviously this love will strengthen with each passing day and reach other stages!

Now let's see things from a psychological and scientific point of view. Ri, all what your thought provoking points made me go through 😆, I read many articles and here are some points that caught my attention about the concept of love from psychological and scientific angles

A- The theory of triangular love

Robert Sternberg proposed the triangular theory of love in a 1986 paper. In this model, all love is composed of three elements: intimacy, passion and commitment.

Intimacy involves closeness, caring, and emotional support.

Passion refers to states of emotional and physiological arousal. This includes sexual arousal and physical attraction as well as other kinds of intense emotional experiences.

Commitment involves a decision to commit to loving the other and trying to maintain that love over time. Using different combinations of these three elements,

Sternberg described eight different kinds of love: nonlove (low on all 3 elements), liking (high on intimacy only), infatuated love (passion only), empty love (commitment only), romantic love (intimacy and passion), companionate love (intimacy and commitment), fatuous love (passion and commitment), and consummate love (all three together).

If we try to fit AvNeil into one of the categories, we will find that they are above liking as they don't only share intimacy but also passion as in they are attracted to each other and they also had intense emotional experiences, so they would fit into the romantic love category, though I feel they are heading towards the consummate love which has all the elements of love, they need commitment, deep down they both want to commit but they need the green signal from each other!

B- How do you know you are in love?

Helen Fisher of Rutgers University in the States has proposed 3 stages of love lust, attraction and attachment. Each stage might be driven by different hormones and chemicals.

Naj what a great amount of research you have got for us on love. I have heard of some of this, especially the classic versions of love. Eros being the most well known aka Passionate love. Clearly what Neil feels for Avni! 😳❤️

The triangle of love fits them to T. They want to commit but it's like the skipped the second stage or just keeping it man hi man mein not confessing it out loud . But then if they do humko Maza kaise ayega😛
