So I was travelling last night and there was an uncle @next berth snoring like a monster killing my sleep so I decided to make use of that time making this post instead. Posting it now bc signal issues.
First off, Congrats to all Rikarians. I bet last night's episode put you in a good mood. It sure made my night. Isn't this what we've been waiting for ever since Om stopped gauri? Waise toh om's usually a mystery wrapped in an enigma but today tptb showed us his POV!! Mubarakan ji!! 🥳🥳
Coming to the episode, omg RuRi, you two idiots bonding over not understanding Om's serious baatein and yet wanting to help him was everything. 😆 God, I want more of this crazy duo.
And Shivaay; You know when I saw the titanic pose pic the other day, it occurred to me Shivaay had mentioned titanic being the greatest movie ever. But even then, never, not in a million years would I've ever guessed it was Shivaay's idea. He was right, "Don't say why, just Shivaay!! I gotta hand it to him, he has to be the world's greatest wingman EVER!! Apni toh khatiya khadi hai but he so wants both of his Bros to get laid. Warna itna tharki wala plan nahi deta. Good going bro!! Totes love him doting on Gauri. Waise b ShivRi are toh bro/sis-in-law goals. Gimme more of them too.
And Pinky, God, I hate hate hate that woman with the fire of a thousand suns. But today I loved her for inciting Gauri. Bahut hua Abla nari, ab ActionRi, DabangRi is back you guise!! And all thanks to Pinky. Thank you Pinky Maata. May your OMM happen soon.

But for real, a round of applause for Shrenu, she was brilliant today. From determined to sweet to helpful to innocent to nervous to confused to angry and hurt. She displayed it all. All of the emotions right on her face. And Gauri, oh god, how I love her. I love how determined she was to help him. I love how he affected her. I love how she decided she wasn't going to take Om's shit again. I love how she gave all of it back to Om. I love how she refused to back down. I love how despite being hurt and angry, she took an action instead of crying in a corner. And I know I'll love it when she leaves OM bc there's no way in hell she's staying back. But you know what I loved the most? I loved how Pinky inciting her didn't lead to another pity party. No she decided the time for being meek and silent and "abla chiriyya was over. That it was time to take action, that it was time to bring dabangRi back. That she also used her mind and analysed that Pinky's words were garbage. That what was bothering Om was something different, and she was going to find it out. DetectiveRi is back too you guisee!! And the confrontation, oh my lord!! Aaj toh aar ya paar tha. Because you see, Gauri, what with her god loving, patni dharam following nature might seem like she's an Abla nari, but that's all superficial. Deep down she's a fighter, she's always had to fight for everything. And today she fought for her self respect. There were no sad tears, no backing off, no letting him go off scot-free. She demanded answers, she gave an ultimatum but best of all she showed Om the mirror, which he desperately needed to see. It's cruel what he's doing. Forcing her to stay but not giving her any reason and now he's back to his old antics again...whats a charriya got to do to get you to treat her like a human being, Om? After everything she did for him, after seeing his soft Avatar she wasn't expecting this...or maybe she was. Bc softKara gave her a whiplash, and she was waiting for the other show to drop all this time. And today it did and Gauri couldn't take it. She told him off and she told him off goood. She showed him his hypocrisy, he sings truth k gun gaan all night long but he can't face the truth himself. He's lying to himself is what he's doing. Tonight his silence was DEAFENING!!! It gave Gauri all the answers she needed. Now I hope she stays true to her words and leaves OM ASAP.
Om, you're my problematic fave. If Gauri's my queen, you're my disappointing son. You pull at my heartstrings even when I'm mad at you. Initially I was royally pissed at his inner "tumhari asliyat monologue. But it all serves a purpose, I'll come to that in a few but first, I want to applaud Kunal for the way he portrayed Omkara's pure hurt and confusion too. The battle between his mind and heart, that's what it's always been about, isn't it? He was completely entranced by Gauri today, so much she literally inspired him to paint again. And all through the sequence he seemed like he was drunk off her beauty. That slight smile and the twinkle in his eyes!! Goddamn!! Kill me with the feels, why don't you? And it all changed within a blink of an eye as soon as Gauri mentioned Bariely again. It was like a switch turned on. All of the repressed memories came back instantly. The transformation is something to definitely something to see. Back to his inner monologue, I was angry with his "tumhari asliyat bs again but But he is justified. Totally. Bc that is the Gauri he met. He doesn't know about her turmoil, we do. He only knows what he saw with his own two eyes and what he did see, he just can't forget. No one can. How can he contemplate what Gauri is to him or her place in his life when this cloud of mu is always looming over their heads? Maybe he repressed it for a while bc of the things going on in his life, but deep inside it's still there burning him.
I really liked the juxtaposition of the scenes of Gauri questioning him and Jhanvi thakurian's suicide. He just can't comprehend what Gauri is to him or should be bc he can't forget KT's wife's suicide. How can anyone, leave alone sensitive Om whose mom did the same forget it? He can't. But that juxtaposed with all that Gauri sacrificed for him, and he is damn fishing confused about the desires of his heart. How can he love or even like a person like that? Does he even know who she is? And yet, she did everything she did, all for him. She's probably an enigma for him like he's for us. So what's he gonna do? It's a question for the ages.
All this doesn't mean they're back to square one though. After everything they've been through, all those random lollipops we got after the merger, all of that has been building up to this episode. It was all leading up to this. I kinda missed it the first time but on watching the confrontation again, I totally appreciate Om's behaviour with Gauri when she's dragging him. He's mad but he isn't confrontational at all. Mind me kuch b ho but he didn't go back to shouting and blaming and calling her characterless and all that jazz. Gauri kept barraging him with questions but he didn't lose his cool. That means somewhere deep down he knows she doesn't deserve this half way existence either or that she's not a bad person who would do all that he thinks she did. Now I just want him to use his brain and analyse the Gauri's he met in Bariely and Mumbai and come to the conclusion that at least something is fishy there. I don't want all mu cleared, but I want Om to make an effort trying to understand her this time around and not jump to conclusions as usual. Seems from the upcoming segments, he'll miss her. Well good. I hope when he comes begging, Gauri makes him work for it. 😆
All in all, it was a great frickin episode. Totes satisfied today. ShreNal brought their A-game and it showed. And not only ShreNal, but the writing team, the director( only wrt the confrontation, I still have a problem with the way romantic scenes are shot), everyone except the editors were at their best!! Take a bow Harneet, you've finally done it. Finally given Rikara fans what they were dying for. I hope RiKara continue on this path and give us fangirls more to fangirl about! ❤️
