It had almost been a week and there was still no sign of him, she wasn't sure if he was in or not and she couldn't ask anyone either. Zoya had been out with Najma a few times, she seemed like the only one who ever spoke everyone else seemed to only want to give single word answers. Feeling frustrated Zoya went for a run in the garden, she was on her third lap when she saw him, she slowed down her pace as she reached the outdoor swimming pool.

'Hi' she called out as she came to a complete stop 'hello' he replied expressionless 'umm...you out for a swim?' 'Yes' Zoya smiled at him feeling a lot more award than she had anticipated 'I guess I will leave you to it' 'Miss Farooqui' he called out behind her 'I have a staff briefing at eleven sharp...don't be late' Zoya never got a chance to respond as by the time she turned around he had dived in.

After a quick shower Zoya got changed, she had managed to go through everything Humera had installed for her; the girl seriously was a genius. The button on Zoya's top was a small microphone; even by looking at it closely you would never have guessed. Satisfied that she looked ok Zoya walked out into the main hall where Asad Ahmed Khan had every employee that lived under his roof gathered around.

Zoya sat next to Ronit and Sahil, once Zack came in Asad started to address everyone. 'Miss Farooqui, for future reference we have a staff briefing every month, you will always be required to attend, the last Sunday of each month, here at eleven' Zoya nodded in response.

'Ok, now that you are all here, Miss Farooqui has been recently appointed, she will be watching over Najma, after this meeting those of you have not introduced yourselves please do. I will be out for the next three days, Zack is in charge, Sahil you will accompany me...Zack I want you to cover all three bases, bring in Team A to finalise the meeting, Ronit I want you to oversee any deals made...' Asad went on for another ten minutes before he called the meeting to a close, Zoya sat quietly trying to make sense of what he had said, but nothing did. 'Who the hell is Team A...and what deals...three bases...where were they and where was he going for three days. Zoya may have moved in but it was going to take a long time for her to be trusted with any information, time she did not have.

After everyone was dismissed Zoya ran up to Asad 'Asad' she called out, Asad turned around 'it's Mr Khan to you Miss Farooqui' Zoya was taken aback at his directness 'oh...I...I'm sorry Mr Khan' she said looking a little embarrassed 'it's ok, I usually oversee the first mistake...then...well there is no room for a second one...so tell me now how can I help you?' 'Um I...Mr Khan...if I need to contact you, how will I contact you?' 'You won't...anything you need you go to Zack...I will see you in three days' time...is that all?' Zoya couldn't bring herself to say anything; she gave him a nervous smile and just nodded.

'Arrrgh' she growled at herself 'what the hell is wrong with you, how many times have you done this...and here you can't even get his name right...come on Zoya you can do this you need to think smart, act smart...you need to get them to trust you...instead of you going to them you need to do something to make them come to you...but what?'

Zoya tried every trick in the book to try and befriend the people who were around her, she tried to subtly squeeze out as much information she could. But by the end of the three days all she got was absolutely nothing. As lovely as Najma was babysitting her was taking its toll. She had never come across a group of people who were so loyal, so secretive about everything.

'Zack, do you mind if I hang out with you for a bit, Najma is studying and to be honest I really don't know what to do with all this free time on my hands' Zack gave her a smile 'how about you just chill out' 'I have been doing that all day...I know you think I am a girl and I am new...' 'Think...Zoya you are a girl and you are new...it's a fact' 'ok ok, I know but can I not just hang with you...promise I will behave' Zack started to laugh 'ok...you can hang'.

Zack took Zoya to a room she hadn't been in before, the room almost looked like her control room back at headquarters, there was a big table with chairs a large interactive white board and at least half a dozen state of the art computers set around the room. 'Wow, this looks like something out of a Bond movie...you know like the secret den type place' 'it is...maybe not a Bond movie but definitely a den...it's where Asad works from most of the time and holds his meetings'.

'Can I ask you something?' 'You don't need permission Zoya, shoot' 'what does Mr Khan exactly do...I mean I have been here for some time now but can't quite seem to figure out his line of work'.

Zack looked at her intently 'if you are with us long enough you'll find out...but for now all you need to know is that no matter what the world outside if these four walls portray Asad is not the bad guy...I need to make a few phone calls, after which I am heading out, you can jump in with me if you like' Zoya smiled 'sure, that would be great...I'll wait outside for you'.

Zoya waited outside for Zack, who was taking his sweet time, after a long twenty minutes he finally stepped outside sorry...I got carried away...you ready?' he said as he put his phone away yes, let's go'.

Zoya sat quietly in the car and observed where Zack was going. When he stopped the car Zoya looked around, she turned towards him and looked at him perplexed what are we doing here?' she asked I will be back in two minutes' he said totally ignoring her question.

Zack jumped out and walked inside Zoya took out her pen, which was a small digital camera this thing better work Humera' she mumbled as she held it out and started clicking it. Zack had stopped outside an orphanage, as Zoya continued to click her pen she saw Zack walk out the main gate with another two men, what she didn't expect nor was prepared for was what followed. More than a dozen girls all huddled together came out the gates, a lot of them looked petrified. Zoya let out a gasp as she started to take more pictures Ya Allah, what the hell are they up to...' Zoya s eyes started to narrow in anger as she thought of what someone like Asad Ahmed Khan was involved in. she saw Zack instruct the men who then took the girls towards a truck, which they were made to sit in.

Zoya quickly put her pen away as she saw Zack coming her way, she gave him a smile as he sat down part of your charity work?' she said looking towards the truck something like that' he said and then drove off.

Later that night Zack came in to see Najma Bhai will be back a little earlier than expected, there is an international conference being held here and he has been invited as a VIP guest' Zoya couldn't believe how someone who was known for his hand in the underworld could still be invited to be a part of conferences. Najma looked through the invitation this is great...oh' Najma who started to talk off in excitement stopped what happened Najma?' Zoya asked, curious to know what she had just read Bhai has been asked to be accompanied by date...I mean it's a couple's thing he has to go with a girl' Zack started laughing sorry have I missed the joke?' Zoya said looking between the two rather amused people in front of her Zoya, if you know Bhai you will know that him and girls are a big no no, he doesn't let anyone close to him, the only girl in his life is his sister...unless you want to include the two cooks and three maids that he has no interaction with'.

What's the big deal, it's not like its set in stone, he doesn't have to take someone if he doesn't want to...right?' Zoya said true...but I guess Bhai can decide when he gets back'.

The next day Zoya spent the afternoon and early evening following Najma around with her friends. As she walked behind them she saw Imran, Zoya looked at him and shook her head a little as if to say not now but Imran came towards her anyway, he needed to pass on a message from Haider.

Zoya slowed down her steps so there was a good distance between her and Najma Imran are you crazy?' No, but Haider will make me go crazy, Zoya you haven't made contact for so many days, he is worried sick about you' I am fine' she said as she continued to walk in front of him do you have anything new?' Yes, I went out with his right hand man Zack yesterday. I managed to take pictures' Zoya put her hand in her back pocket and took out the pen here' she said holding it behind her back one last thing, there is an international conference, Haider and Jai are going to be there...' I know, I heard yesterday...' Then you will also know that he will need a female companion...Zoya this is your chance to get close to him, you have to come with him'.

Zoya took in a deep breath Imran, he still doesn't trust me enough, all I am doing is baby-sitting her...anything else is still keep secret from me, this one is taking a lot longer than I had hoped' don't worry, we will sort something out, create a situation where he will have no choice but to trust you, all you have to do is make sure you are his date' Imran...go...go' Zoya said in a slight panic as Najma turned around to see her. Imran managed to turn around and walk away without any suspicions being aroused. Najma, is everything ok?' Yes, I have managed to do everything I need to, we can go back home now' Zoya smiled good, I will get the driver to bring the car round'.

Najma and Zoya walked in sharing a joke, Zoya had her hand on her stomach as she continued to laugh unaware of the eyes that looked at her so intently. Asad had come back he was in the main living room waiting for Najma to return when he hear laughter.

Asad looked up to see Zoya with one hand on her stomach and the other pushing back her hair, she looked so care free, her smile radiated, it was like her whole face had lit up and was shining bright. Asad couldn't help looking at her, her dimple, her cute nose that scrunched up as she laughed, she almost looked childlike. Asad almost broke into a smile himself, something that was extremely rare Bhaijaan' Najma called out breaking his trance and causing for Zoya to stop. Asad and Zoya shared an eye lock before Najma came in between them when did you get back?' a little while ago...how are you, looks like you had fun' yes Bhaijaan, I tell you Zoya is the best, am so so happy that you chose her' Asad looked over Najma's Shoulder thank you' Zoya looked up at him please you don't need to thank me...it's my duty to...' Najma turned around Zoya please, don't make it sound like you are an employee...you are not, you are my friend...isn't it Bhaijaan, tell her' Zoya and Asad shared an awkward look. Asad looked at Najma and placed his hand over her head stay happy'.

As Asad started to walk off Zack called out after him Bhai' Zack, good you are here, I need you to brief me on everything that has happened did we get those girl...I mean the consignment delivered safely' Zoya looked at him with narrowed eyes, she felt her stomach churn on how he referred to all those girls as a consignment. Whatever Asad Ahmed Khan was up to she was sure to find out soon, Imran would have uploaded and analysed the pictures by now. Bhai, the conference, here is your invitation' thanks' as Asad was about to walk off again Zack called him back what Zack' Bhai, about the conference you need a date...a female companion' Asad held the bridge of his nose and squeezed his eyes shut stupid conferences with stupid set ups...fine' he said as he looked up at him find me someone, the conference isn't until Friday night so that gives you...what less than 48 hours'.

Najma started laughing at the faces Zack started pulling and what is so funny?' Oh nothing...good luck' she said holding her thumb out and then walking off laughing again.

Sahil, if you haven't got anything sensible to say then shut up' Zack shouted out is everything ok?' Zack and Sahil looked up to see Zoya standing by the door yes, everything is fine, it's just this fool who keeps annoying me' Zoya smiled at Sahil and walked in further anything I can help with?' she said sitting down in front of them.

Unless you can come up with a date for Bhai in the next few hours...then no you can't help!' Zack said. Just then Sahil jumped forward man are we stupid or are we stupid' Zack rolled his eyes talk for yourself man I am not stupid' Zack...come on we have had the answer sitting and staring us in the face this whole time' how...?' Zoya...Zoya can accompany Bhai as his date' Zoya pretended to look surprised excuse me as what?' she said trying to sound offended sorry...you know what I meant for the conference as his companion'. Zack sat up hey not bad idea...Zoya...would you? Please it would take a burden off of me, and Bhai knows you, you are an employee' Zack...me, I don't know anything about...I mean what if I make him look silly and plus I don't have anything to wear' oh please you won't you are way to cool to make anyone look silly and nothing to wear, leave it to me...you just please say yes' yes...I guess' Zack stood up and gave her a high five, thanks Zoya' As Zack and Sahil walked away Zoya sat back smiling to herself.
