This song totally suits AvNeil situation right now, especially Avni's. I am sure many would agree to that. Avni is falling for Neil and how? She is completely changing from being a non-expressive serious person, to a joyful and expressive individual. Her heart has slowly started accepting the fact that there are men like Neil, who would fight for the right, come what may. And most importantly, fight for her and care for her the way she always wanted to be cared. Unlike her father, Neil is giving her everything that she has ever craved for and something that she had accepted would never be hers. She had accepted that she might not be able to live the dream of a perfect' family this birth because of the baggage she carries with herself. She even didn't trust the legal system who did nothing but made her suffer for the longest time. Neil changed everything. Neil, knowingly or unknowingly is slowly opening those close doors of Avni. Those doors, where Avni had hid her usual child self. And that Avni is finally coming back. Avni herself doesn't realize that its happening. Or she does realize but she still wants to believe that nothing can affect her and love will not cross her way.
There are times when we would be able to see and sense the truth with open eyes and mind but still would want to believe what we want to. For example, Ali. He can see and sense that Neil and Avni are getting close and might have some connection, yet he is believing what Riya is saying. Out of everyone, he is believing Riya. And he claimed that he knew Dayawanti's family really well. And if he did, he would not have believed Riya. I am not saying he is purposely doing that. He is being manipulated. But he is also in love with Avni. And love either becomes your strength or weakness. For Neela and Ayesha, love was their strength. Even if Ashish was not in their life, they managed to grow and lead a happy life. Neela was even ready to give up Ashish for Ayesha and Avni. If only her dad wasn't in the picture, she would have happily left Ashish. Ayesha was also ready to leave Ashish for her self respect. But for Ali, his love for Avni is his weakness and that's what is stopping him from going back and believe what Riya is saying.
Similarly, for Avni, love is more of a fear than weakness. Seeing both of her mother's going through so much in the name of love, she is still somewhere scared of the same happening with her. She just doesn't want to give that control of her being to someone. And hence, even she is forcing herself to not acknowledge her changed feelings for Neil. I think she is sensing it yet hiding it. The way she got excited when Neela asked her about her room and she just realized and got back to her normal tone "faking how she didn't care about the room. Yes, she didn't realize that she was nervous about the gift and what she wanted to tell him. Since she has just seen both of her mom's going through hell in love, she doesn't realize what it feels to be in love. She doesn't realize how happy love can make someone. She doesn't realize how nervous and strong love can make one. She doesn't realize how addicted you get to someone you love with your heart and soul. She doesn't realize how your happiness starts coinciding with your loved one. She doesn't realize that if even a thorn pricks your loved one, your heart feels the pain. She doesn't realize that how difficult it gets to breathe without your loved one.
It is happening to her but she doesn't realize that its because of love. She knows it is happening to her but she doesn't realize that the reason is because she is falling in LOVE with Neil. As Neela had pointed out earlier, at the age when girls enjoy their love life, she was busy getting justice for her mom. And hence, she didn't get to learn and live this beautiful phase.
Neil on the other hand, has been in love once and being heart-broken as he lost his first love forever. He also knows the feeling of losing loved ones like Avni knows. Even though he was ignorant and stubborn about his growing fondness about Avni, he has now started to acknowledge and accept it. He is extremely patient with her as he knows LOVE is a very sensitive topic for her. He plays games with her not just to get her reaction but also somehow make her realize about the same. Today's swimming pool scene was a total treat to watch for us but also an example of how Neil is slowly making his efforts for Avni to realize his and her own feelings. The way they both were just lost in eachother, not worrying about the world is a sign. Him lightly pushing her hair strands behind her ears, and her enjoying his touch on her cheek is a sign. Neil realizes it but Avni doesn't. Neil can see he is affecting her the same way she is affecting him. The way she just cannot stop staring at him while he is feeding her soup is uberly adorable. When Neil says "mujhe ghoorne se tum thik nahin ho jaogi clearly indicates that Neil is noticing her changed feelings towards him. The way she feels embarrassed after getting caught by her man is a sign that she was actually staring at him and was lost in his eyes which are filled with immense love and care. But she is just too stubborn to accept it. Neil knows that too. And Neil was also so sure Avni would understand that he had to be somewhere for his work. And when Avni nodded with her eyes closed into submission, it was clear Neil was right. Avni knows that for Neil, his duty is utmost important and will always be his priority. His duty is his priority over everyone. Over his family and over her. And she will never stop him to fulfill his duties. And what makes her understanding towards his duty is his rightfulness and strive to do the right thing all the time. For the longest time, she dealt with a corrupted legal system. And seeing this man always fight for the right, was a new ray of hope for her.
Neil is definitely a new ray of Sunshine in Avni's life. I just cannot wait for the day Avni start's acknowledging her LOVE and gets over her fear towards LOVE. I am sure with Neela and Neil being around, that will also happen soon.
