yes uma was wrong in marrying her nobody can deny it...but he asked her to call her family she could have done that so what if she has seen ved getting beaten he is a police officer he can come with police force and rescue her and punish uma but no once she saw bhabho's shop papers with him she started pretending to have accepted this marriage and hide her family...she made herself a victim of his dharm rules but uma gets blamed for whatever she is undergoing *biased logic*

when the truth comes out uma will be angry not at kanak but her stupidity...she herself assumed things and the victims of her assumptions were his and his family's feelings and reputation...if uma is blind in his dharms kanak is blind for gaining bhabho's love...both were wrong...if kanak can be angry at uma for marrying her for his dharm uma also can be angry at her for cheating him and his family for bhabho when the base for it is nothing but his goodness of not touching her..so along with kanak blaming him for marriage she should be grateful to him for not misbehaving with her due to which she was/is able to fight for shop papers..

I mean...maybe it is because she is SurYa's daughter...but I can't help but look at things from Kanak's point of view.

She's an orphaned child who was raised in a house where her brothers and uncle and aunt tried to give her as much love as possible. But you know how human nature works...it always desires that which one doesn't have. In Kanak's case that was Bhabo's love.

Imagine being a child and running around and playing, and then hearing your grandmother scream at the top of her lungs in front of the entire Hanuman Galli that she needs to purify the shop because Kanak stepped into it by mistake.

Imagine wondering all your life...why? Am I impure? Am I a jinx? What sin did I commit? Why am I always being sent away to boarding school in the name of education...when it is really to get rid of me...It's a wonder she didn't turn into a basket case.

Then imagine getting all the blame for your parents death laid on your shoulders...that too for an incident that occurred when you were a baby. Imagine someone you love hating you so much for something you had no control over.

Kanak was so traumatized by this revelation that she was going to commit suicide. Ironically, it was Umashankar that she overheard giving Payal a brainwashing pep talk...that made her rethink her action. She decided that she was going to redeem herself in the eyes of Bhabo by giving her the one thing that Bhabo worships the most...her Suraj and Sandhya's sweet shop.

I see nothing wrong in Kanak's thinking.

You also have to remember that Kanak didn't come to Ladno to deceive anyone. She came in search of Gabasa, to find out how he could lay a claim to the sweet shop. It was at the festival there Uma saw her and "signs from God" and decided that they were going to get married. She refused and he stated..but I have chosen you...and then he picks her up and takes the pheras...with her biting and kicking him and pleading to the onlookers for help to no avail.

Once Uma learns the truth...he may be angry. He may be justified...because Kanak could have confronted him and demanded the truth from him long ago.

Yes, Kankak is immature. She put her hand in something that puts her at risk...and she should have told someone in her family...at least her brothers. Perhaps she thought they would stop her. Or maybe after she saw Ved getting beat up by Uma's loyalists, she decided he could pose a threat to her family. She already thinks he defrauded Bhabo of the shop. For her...he's Raavan...Daakoo Singh, a kidnapper. If anyone should be angry it is her. I'm with Kanak on this one. No matter what the misunderstanding about the shop is...there is no justification for what Uma did.

He and his thinking is like from the stone ages...I don't know how someone like Kanak has survived with him that long...I would have told him, Bhabo, and the shop to kiss my !@#$% long time ago.

Yet Uma never finds fault in anything he does.

Sometimes I feel Kanak is trapped in a never ending game like...the Hunger Games...where no matter how much you're told otherwise...the odds are never in your favor.

it is from uma's perspective ...after the shop truth comes out uma will be proved as he is not the one who cheated bhabho, only what kanak did to him and his family will remain and uma is not the one who will let it go easily...

You have to remember she is under the impression that he tricked Bhabo into putting her thumb print on the shop papers which he then signed and took over.

We know that he wouldn't have doesn't that...but Kanak does not have the benefit of the insight we viewers have.

Her misconception was further cemented when she saw Uma forcibly take a man's house from him, because he was found to be doing meat business.

Kanak is always struggling in her competition with Uma...because he changes the rules at will. He gives Kanak her choice of property papers and jewelry...as assurance that if he ever left her, she would be financially secure...then when he gets angry, he shows her the door and snatches those very things back saying only his wife has a right on them. 🤪

In other words you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. 🤔

His offering her mint leaves to cover up her onion breath was useless in my opinion. He never told her why he was offering the gesture. If he had she wouldn't have gotten in trouble.

The guy is...a fossil...and an extremist to say the least.

His only saving grace is that he hasn't forced himself on Kanak...although he did scare the beejezus out of her and show her what he's capable of if he wanted. 😡

Uma is nothing nothing...did I say nothing ...compared to Suraj...a man who in Uma's eyes would be considered weak, because he allowed his wife the freedom to live out her dreams.

I guess that's the problem I have with him...everything is my way or the highway! Ugh!!
