Thanks. I still haven't figured out how to embed. 😉 I've heard so many cover versions of this song and although technically this doesn't come close to the original classic but his voice texture really brings out the best of the song. You can actually close your eyes and lose in the feel of it.

I always love unplugged versions better than the usual

I've heard so many cover versions of this songs but seriously papon brings a different texture all together. Even sonus version fades in comparison to this. If you have the time then check out his tribute to Jagjit singh ji. It's amazing!

Sorry to ask but what did you mean? Papon version better than Sonu or sonu better than papon? I meant papons version of tribute to JS. Coz although technically sonu may be more closer to this song.. his voice absolutely doesn't suit this song.

Also, do you know any songs by Tochi Raina ? He is the guy who sang Kabira. I am trying to find songs by him and am quite unsuccessful. Thanks

Of course. I first noticed him when he sang gal mithi mithi Bol.. he has such a strong voice. He has also sung iktara from wake up sid and saibo duet with Shreya Ghoshal. if you like his voice you should check out his coke studio collabs. They are amazing.
