Outsider speak on nepotism

Anushka, who was present at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal, was asked to comment on the same. Responding to this, she said, "We [She, SRK and Imtiaz] are here and reached this far. We have put talent before anything else. Everyone has their own set of different experience. That has to be respected."

Imtiaz, who was also present at the event said, "We all three and are outsiders. If there was any nepotism against us then we wouldn't have been there. I am here only because of the love I got from the industry."

Anushka and Vidya both have always said they faced no nepotism
If they have faced and don't wish to speak about it then their choice

The likes and Anushka and Deepika have thankfully not faced nepotism because they were launched in a big way straight to the top as A list heroines. They have influencials mentors and great visibility and value.
Kangana has been launched as a B lister much like Jacqueline, Zarine Khan... these girls don't have the same journey as Anushka and Deepika as outsiders. They are most likely to be subjected to disrespect, couch casting and being dropped of films for someone else.

As far as Vidya is concerned she herself has been kicked out of a movie before. Also the answer Radhika and Vidya gave at the roundtable concerning violent scenes disturbed me because they saw it as mechanical when the three other girls who have a pampered life said it disturbed them.

I read it as - opinions based on experience should be respected not nepotism.

IMO it is just an excuse and exists in all industries, no big deal, be good and work through whatever challenges come your way to achieve your goals and quit whining.

She has always maintained she 'herself' has not faced nepotism cz she had a dream launch and a dream career (mostly) and thus don't have first hand experience of someone picking a star daughter as opposed to herself when she deserved it more. In fact Adi is an influencial insider who mentored her
KJo and his shanghanias by eating the whole plate of good content available for Alia doesn't affect her much now as she is making good content for herself. I guess she would speak about it if it did affect her negatively

It's still means the same thing so if someone claims nepotism rocks then we should respect it and not make such hue & cry over it. People will never accept nepotism because everyone has suffered from it in their life one time or another be it at your school, college, work place etc. It is one thing to carry out such statements but their continued arrogance and pathetic justifications are causing more people to turn against them.
