Fresh news.. Ekta has made major turn around of Balaji Telefilms. It now has Mukesh Ambani's Reliance group as a major stake holder. Now this can't happen overnight. Indication with what end in mind Ekta and Sameer Nair could have been closely working last couple of years and where Ekta's time and energy got spent lately.

Now that Ekta's concentration will be on expanding ALT Balaji.. don't know who will take up TV shows responsibility full time from now onwards, and how it will impact overall leadership and creative angle of her shows.

Thanks for sharing! This is huge development. Bravo, Ekta for turning around BT and getting Reliance as a stakeholder. We have to see how BT's programming will change now. And how relationship with Zee will be. Zee is also growing and expanding with so many channels now.

Am I missing something here? Why will Reliance having 25% stake make them take over content and creative work for Balaji tele?

The info I have, I read in business news, not from websites hosting tv or movie content.

BT came for IPO last month and now listed on Sensex, and looks like in a month the stock price went up well and is doing good.. Reliance only bought 25% shares but Ekta still holds majority, remaining 75%.

Like any other firm which is listed and which looks promising, Reliance invested here..I dont think Reliance will do a make over for BT's content..
