There has been a lot of comments and opinions surrounding filmmaker Karan Johar and actors Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan's remarks on nepotism during an awards ceremony in New York. While some laughed it off as a work of humour, many agreed that it was unfair of the actors to take a dig at Kangana, especially when the actress was not present at the event. The three men have since apologised. While Varun tweeted his apology, Saif in an interaction said, "To me, at the event, it was just a joke and nothing more to be read into. But now I feel had we given it more thought, we could've really finished this ongoing public discourse on nepotism more decisively."

Taking the blame for the segment, Karan said, "It was something that we said in humour, it may be terrible humour, bad humour, misplaced humour, but our intention was not to hurt anyone. That very core is what failed. Then I got carried away in the moment and I regret that." While Kangana has not spoken about the whole episode, a source close to the actress said, "A lot has been said Karan Johar can be very revengeful and vindictive. He is famous for being very arrogant and not patching up with people easily. Also, I don't think Karan, Varun and Saif would have said any of this, if the comment was made by a big star. The reason why they are insulting Kangana on various platforms is because she doesn't have a godfather. Not that she cares."CREDITS: DECCAN CHRONICLE

Petty. I wonder if Kangana will use this for her promos or if she'll let this go.

Karan indeed seems petty. I lost the affection I had for him after his consecutive fall out with both SRK and Kajol. If you can alienate the persons who were always there for you and helped you grow within yourself it doesn't say much about you.

I thought they might patch over his twins birth but it doesn't seem like it. It's a pity...

these days it feels like i have entered the wrong forum... last year was an all out Kjo fan club including earlier in the year... surprised by all the criticism he is getting now... no clue what brought on the change but people are calling out kjo for being wrong..

anyway, this was a publicity stunt and Kjo must be happily sipping his martini somewhere...his take is not surprising at all.. it was to be expected, but he must have been paid a lot from IIFA makers for this controversy and stunt to grab the eyeballs... he did the same thing for ADHM release... used the uri attack and made fawad the scapegoat.. people were blaming fawad for it, but kjo himself admitted to things and how far he went for publicity... i lost all respect for him last year.. after he paid kRK to bash shivaay and all the drama that was for ADHM release making the most of the controversy..

country > some BW director who uses country for controversy to desperately sell his movie

That will hurt him the most - indifference
He will expect her to react against this
So if she stays mum he will be all rattled up
