Gauri wasn't getting tired of replaying the conversation in her mind as she sat upset by the pool. She was confused, her heart and mind were in a war where her heart was telling her to stay but her mind was telling her to leave this place forever but could she bear to stay away and never see him again? The dilemma was never ending and she couldn't decide what she should do. As lost as gauri was, she didn't realise when anika came and sat beside her.
Gauri was startled as she felt a hand on her shoulder; she turned to find anika sitting beside her and gave a small smile to her. Anika was no fool and immediately understood that gauri was trying to hide something behind that smile of hers.
" kya chhupa rahi ho mujhse? anika asked and suddenly gauri felt loss of words.
For a few minutes both of them sat there in silence and then gauri spoke up. "ek sawaal puche aapse? gauri asked hesitantly. "haan gauri, tum mujhse kuch bhi puch saqti ho anika replied as she sat facing gauri now.
gauri looked away and asked, "rudy bhaiya ne hume bataya hai ki aap aur bade bhaiya kaise mile aur kaise aapki shaadi hui. Bade bhaiya ne aap par kitne ilzaam lagaye fir bhi aapne humesha unki madad kari. Jab un par khoon ka ilzaam tha tab bhi aapne itni bezzati hone ke baad bhi unpe bharosa kiya, unka saath diya, gauri paused and looked at anika "kyun bhaujaai, kya aapko kabhi yeh nahi laga ki jab unhe aapki koi zarurat hi nahi hai, jab unke mann mein aapke liye koi izzat hi nahi hai, jab unhone aapko ghar se nikal diya toh aap kyun har baar unka saath dein? Kyun har baar apni bezzati karaye?
gauri was breathing hard when she finished and anika smiled slightly, "tum saare jawaab janti ho gauri, fir bhi agar tum sunna chahti ho toh main batati hun
anika stood up, "tumne sahi kaha, jab hum mile the toh shivaay ke liye sirf naam, khoon, khandaan wale logon ka wajood tha. Unhone mujhpe bahot ilzaam lagaye, ki mere jaisi ladkiyon ko sirf paiso se matlab hota hai, wagera wagera. Par shivaay keliye unka parivaar sabse upar tha, aaj bhi hai, aur mujhe pata tha ki vo bure nahi hain. Inki tadi toh aasmaan ko chuti hai par ye humesha zameen se jude rehte hain. Unko tab nahi pata tha par unhe meri zarurat thi, bahot zarurat thi isliye itna kuch sehne ke baad bhi maine billu ji ka saath diya, shivaay singh oberoi toh vo puri duniya ke liye hain par asliyat mein toh vo billu ji hain jinhe sabki chinta siwaay apni.
After this anika looked at gauri, "omkara kehta nahi hai par use tumhari aadat ho gayi hai gauri, use tumhari zarurat humesha se thi. Tumhare bina use kabhi vo taqat nahi milti , vo hausla nahi milta jo apne parivaar ko tutne se bachane ke liye use chahiye tha. Ye ladke na sab ek se hote hain, kehne mein inki jaan nikalti hai ki inhe tumhari zarurat hai, agar madad maange ge toh inki height choti ho jaegi
"hume nahi lagta ki omkara ji ko humari zarurat hai gauri said interrupting anika. "agar use zarurat nahi hoti toh kya vo tumhe rokta? anika countered. "unhe koi farak nahi padta, vo ye sab sirf isliye kar rahe hain kyunki hum bua maa ji ka sach bahar le aaye aur ab unhe lagta hai ki unhone humein galat samjha tears started to flow unbidden from her eyes.
Anika hugged gauri " gauri aisa nahi hai, tumne om ko nahi deka, tumne jise dekha hai aaj tak vo Omkara singh Oberoi tha, om nahi when gauri shook her head not ready to listen then anika said "accha thik hai hum om ka test lete fir agar vo test mein paas ho gaya toh tum use ek aur mauka dena gauri looked confused but still listened to anika as she shared her idea.

Gauri enters the room after a lot of internal debate because it was about her self-respect now. She saw omkara's face brighten a fraction as his eyes fell on her standing at the room's threshold; he seemed almost happy but trying not to show it. Immediately omkara was standing from his sitting position on the bed and came to stand in front of her. "tum yahan? he waits for her reply but she just looks at him and then at the floor. "thank you rukne ke liye and this brings a reaction out of her that he never expected. "galat faimi mein mat rahiye, hum aapke kehne par nahin ruke hain, anika bhaujaai ke liye ruke hain. He stared stunned at her but she wasn't finished yet, "humne aapke haathon bahot bezzati karali, ab hum yahan ek pal nahi rukna chahte, yeh ek tarfa rishta nahin nibhana chahte saying this she moves past him into the room. Baffled by such a change in her behaviour he sighed, "it's going to be a task to get her to forgive me, And he closes the door.

Gauri wanted to know if there was any hope, if she really should risk breaking her heart and give him a second chance? So, to find the answer she did exactly as anika told her to do.
"jab tak hum inke peeche bhagte rehte hain na toh ye log bahot tadi dikhate hain par jaise hum inke peeche bhagna bandh kar dete hain toh inhe michmichi hoti hai, bahot farak padhta hai anika started explaining to gauri. "Om iss shadi ko nahi manta aur tum maanti hot oh use badi pareshaani thi haina? Toh ab tum bhi iss rishte ko nahi maanogi gauri looked shocked at anika.

Gauri removed her engagement ring and kept it safely in the closet. She wanted to see if her presence affected him at all? If the symbols of their marriage, signs that she belonged to him disappeared, would it matter to him at all? As anika had said, she removed her ring because she had seen that Om never wore his.
At first she thought that this idea was stupid, that if he does notice it he'll just assume she sold it for some money, but her anika bhaujaai had persuaded her because she was sure omkara will be affected even by such a subtle change in her appearance. So going on with the plan she had to get him to notice this, now that the ring was missing from her ring finger.
It wasn't easy because every time she saw him, she forgot to breathe and she couldn't think clearly. Finding ways, she deliberately moved her left hand in his line of vision but nothing, he noticed nothing. She wore bangles making too much noise and he looked at her but still didn't see the missing ring. She even pretended to fall and om caught her hand but not even then did he notice. "gauri sambhaal ke he said and after she was stable on her feet he got back to his work.
Now that omkara wasn't noticing the missing ring, gauri lost all hope. She wanted to go away from him but she couldn't, not until anika bhaujaai's problem got solved. Gauri determinedly resolved to hide from him. She wouldn't go to the room while he was occupying it, she looked away if he looked at her when they came face to face which was rarely rare as she turned away and changed her path as soon as she would see him coming towards her.
Even if she didn't want to accept it she could see that omkara was getting restless, she could always feel him looking at her, analysing her and his intense gaze was making her uncomfortable, she wasn't use to him looking at her with any emotion other than anger and disgust. Anika assured her to give it some time, no matter how much time it takes, she will get to see the result she is pinning for but the thing was that gauri wasn't so sure about it.
Despite of the plan not working gauri didn't forget her duties as his wife. She made him tea, food, his favourite juice and other things that he needed, she did everything but from far because this time she did listen to him and asked the servants to take the things to him.
Every time omkara saw someone entering his room, he expected that person to be gauri but he was disappointed every time when it was a servant. He realised she was avoiding him because of what happened and was not doing things for him on her own as used to insist.
Fed up of her ignorance, om got up to go look for her. He went looking for her through the house but there was no sign of her. He then passed the kitchen when he heard her. "ouch om knew it was gauri and went to the kitchen to see what happened. There she stood with her left hand bleeding as tears formed in her eyes. Om panicked and called her as he walked towards her. "gauri the sting of the cut forgotten, gauri looked startled at him. She was cutting vegetables but was thinking about him when she cut her finger. He took her left hand in his and put it under the tap in the stream of water. "tum dhyaan se kaam nahi kar saqti, kisne kaha tumse kaam karne ke liye. Kitni baar kaha hai tumse ki servants se kaha karo om scolded her but she kept looking at him. Om shook his head and closed the tap. He took a kitchen towel and cleaned her hand gently and that when he saw her ring finger, the engagement ring was missing, he paused what he was doing.
" gauri... tumhari ring... kahan hai? he asked and gauri broke out of her happy dream. She saw her hand in his and his questioning gaze on her. She snatched her hand out of his hold and took the towel from him. She didn't look at his face when she said, "utaar di humne, hume uski koi zarurat nahi thi, vo toh bas dikhawa tha om's expressions hardened as he heard what she said "aise kaise utaar di tumne vo ring
"aap kon hote hain ye sawaal karne wale jab aap khudh bhi vo angoothi nahi pehente, jab aap aisa kar saqte hain toh hum kyun nahi. Vaise bhi aap iss rishte ko nahi maante toh aapko koi farak nahi padhna chahiye and then gauri looked at him and saw that he was hurt but she didn't let him see her concern. Om took a few steps back, turned and then left from there.

Gauri tells anika what happened. "dekha maine kaha tha na om ko farak padhta hai, ab toh tum use ek mauka dogi na? anika asked gauri but gauri didn't answer.
Next day
Omkara woke up but didn't see her; she didn't even do her pooja today so he woke up later than usual. She wasn't present there for breakfast and even anika and bhavya didn't know where she went. Om was getting worried and he called her while ShivRu and AniVya watched him panicking and getting worried for gauri. They already knew where gauri was but didn't tell om.
Om called her again and again but it was not reachable then dread washed over him as he voiced his thoughts, "kahin vo ghar chodh kar chali toh nhi gyi he asked no one. Shivaay kept a hand on his shoulder, "tu bhi toh yahi chahta tha na om toh fir problem kya hai om didn't answer.
"haan o, jo aapne kiya uske baad toh main bhi aapko chodh ke chala jata , chulbul bhabhi toh fir bhi bahot der se gayi hain. Rudra joked.
"maine use rukne ke liye kaha tha, sorry bhi kaha tha, vo fir bhi chali gayi? om looked at his brothers. "sorry humesha kaafi nahi hota hai om, kabhi kabhi actions words se zyada matter karte hain. Agar tu use ye dikhayega nahi ki tu iss rishte ko ek chance dena chahta hai toh use pata kaise chalega? shivaay said and looked at anika.
Before om could say anything he heard her voice and couldn't believe it as relief washed through him. They all turned to look at the entrance as gauri came with some cardboard boxes carried by servants behind her. She had a pooja thali in her hands and she stopped walking for a second when she saw him standing there flanked by his brothers and her Bhaujaai and bhavya.
She never looked away from om as she walked towards them. She went to anika first and put the tika on her forehead and anika took the arti and so on. Then she reached Omkara. They kept looking at each other and omkara slowly moved his right hand and kept it on his head so that she could put the tika on his forehead. Before gauri could do it, her eyes caught the sight of his right hand which now had the engagement ring on the ring finger and she concealed her surprise at the sight of the ring. "kahan gayi thi tum? Mujhe laga ki tum Bareilly chali gayi om asked and gauri proceeded with her task as she answered him. "hum mandir gaye the, dadi ji aur choti maa ji ko kal ki pooja ke liye kuch samaan chahiye that oh hum vo bhi le aaye. She informed him and he took the arti.
Then gauri left and he kept looking after her not able to see the smile that now adorned her lips. Gauri was happy, the ring was a sign that he wanted this relationship to work and as much as she denied it, she wanted that too and she wouldn't be able to live a day without thinking about how he was if she ever left.
