The stuff I have read on this thread truly makes me sad. I would have never known about this incident since there is no news coverage on this nationally let alone internationally.

i know.. the name of actress is not a secret now. almost everyone know who it is. but as per indian law and order system, no one should reveal the identity of a rape victim without her permission. thats why nirbhaya's real name was hidden till her parents was ready to do it. here the victim dont want her name to be open. she know that all know her name but still against revealing identity in open is mostly becz she dont want 1000s of discussion on her personal life. if she let her identity open, u can imagine how media, public and PR agents of dileep may make fun/critisice/ judge each incident in her past and may even make her characterless. she is already going through a real nightmare ..she might not be able to fight with all these in this condition..it may lead to depression or worst.
thats why our law and order system give protection to the victims.

and reg the medias revealing her name when incident happnd.. actually they werent aware of real incident first. everyone though it was a kidnapping case. so they revealed the identity by mistake. then once they know the details they used popular actress. :)
