| After producing a string of medium-budget films like KUCCH TO HAI, KRISHNA COTTAGE, KYAA KOOL HAI HUM and KOI AAP SA, the Czarina of Indian television, Ekta Kapoor, is planning a number of big-budget films, to be directed by A-list names such as Satish Kaushik, Abbas-Mustan and Neeraj Vora. Satish Kaushik will direct the first venture, which will star Tusshar Kapoor in the lead. It's a solo hero film [not a multi-starrer, as misreported] and is titled KYA LOVE STORY HAIN. "It's a love story, of course," the soft-spoken Tusshar smiles, adding that the project will take off in January 2006. Incidentally, Tusshar and director Satish Kaushik unite once again after the successful MUJHE KUCCH KEHNA HAI. Although the projects with Abbas-Mustan and Neeraj Vora are also expected to roll in 2006, the star cast of the two films is under finalization, "simply because the actors will be considered once the scripting is complete. But, yes, both the films will be multi-hero projects," Tusshar enlightens. Meanwhile, the sequel to the immensely enjoyable KYAA KOOL HAI HUM has been put on the backburner. "There's no particular reason for putting the project in the cold storage. We may start it sometime later, not immediately," Tusshar adds. |
