I cried in todays episode. It was so beautiful, these two people who know they have fallen for each other, are not able to express that. Mukhiji's sense of sacrifice for Aru's future , his words which are actually very true but painful, his feeling of being a burden on her path to her life ambitions..it was very to the point and made such a mark that forget about Aru, I was speechless after watching him talk. It must be a loving husband's worst fear that he may not be able to provide his wife with all that she wants ,desires and deserves. Its a nightmare for a self respecting Mukhi that if he accepts this relationship , someday his wife may call him a burden and a blockage on her road for success. But he is not thinking for himself now, he is thinking for her, stopping her from making a mistake that she might later regret. He knows, rightly so that she has not thought things through, and is she is on the verge of accepting him he wants to stop her. He knows she deserves better, she deserves a chance to make her own choices rather than being made to be a sacrificial goat at her sisters wedding.
Again..I was so lost in Eijaz performance , and the lost and broken look in Niyati's eyes...both are at the end of the road here...awesome performance by both!!
His back to her, unable to even look at her for the fear that his emotions may have an outburst, unable to see the longing and tears in her eyes, her expectations...with his back to her, he goes through the mechanics of a "break up speech". I am not good enough for you...he says it all to her.
And she, is too heartbroken and helpless to hear him..she wants to pacify him with some hot jalebi, but he is too unapproachable, he is too distant, he is so remote that she dares not to banter. With tears she apologizes for making him come into her house. And then when he starts talking to her , with his back to her, his words talking of all the true practical difficulties that are between them, she is so helpless..His sense of sacrifice and her sense of helplessness both were very convincing and moving today.
She was not able to open her mouth and convince him that their relationship might work. Why? a) because he called the marriage not only a mistake but a dhoka, a relationship based in LIES. b) because she herself doesn't know where she was going with this.
This is typical Aru...she does things without knowing where she is going with it. Right now, she is only thinking of feeding him jalebi, pacifying him, making him smile. Thats it. What after that? What about their relationship or marraige? What about future? She is not thinking much about it. Which is why she questions herself in the mirror later. Actually Aru by now has already accepted their marriage as a permanent deal. Thats why she stopped talking about Ahmedabad, and she wants to go with him to her house..she just knows one thing..that she belongs to him and he should belong to her. This is not even a matter of pati-patni. Its a matter of belonging. That sense of belonging to each other has already been established between them. That's why there is so much pain at physically not being with each other.
All of her acts including taking Dharmi's place in the marriage were like that..based on decisions made by her heart. Not by her brain. And frankly, Mukhi was given no choice in any matters.
Aru became his wife without his knowledge( not her mistake), and Aru chose to stay back, and today Aru made him come to her house as damad and established his relation with her family.
He didn't make a single choice in all this, poor thing. The only choice he makes is that he will not allow a chirpy 22 yr old with dreams and ambitions waste her life with him in Amboli. And thats what he is saying to her right now.
Today they both made the STATUS QUO clear to each other. Where she stands, and where he stands. I like the heartfelt discussion in the bedroom with doors closed...Aru was not able to talk but she showed her feelings in her actions of giving him water in the middle of the night , making halwa for him, which he understood very well. By her fake fainting to get him into the house..to spend some more time with him, he clearly knows she does not want this relationship to end here.
( if he didn't realize this already). He is also getting convinced that she might be falling in love with him.
The point I loved was, even after he tries to set her straight, with his soulful words that the marriage was a mistake and a dhoka, for both, and she should set her path on her ambitions, refuses to look at her , ignores her jalebi and goes to sleep, she gives him water the moment his restless sleep wakes him up. Which means she was not sleeping and was watching him. Secondly that act of offering water the moment the husband wakes up from a restless sleep is a very wifely action, act of devotion and loyalty. She has become so for him. Though she cries when he refuses to give the glass to her, she does make halwa for him knowing he is going to leave. Without saying anything in words, Aru has said it all. That no matter what he says, she wants to take care of him and if he chooses to stay she will not ask him to go. So she made her mind clear to him.
But her mind is not clear to her at all...and after questioning herself she sets of to give him his bag, and ask him about his diary. One " Aru ki dimaag ki batti" moment was when she told the auto guy to drop her back at chowrasta because Mukhi has to cross that anyway to go to Amboli and she can catch him them.
I don't want to make out much from Sanvi hospital scene, don't kow the story there but Aru's jealousy has just been triggered again. And At last, Aru tells Mukhi that the dairy was hers.
But rightnow don't want to talk about diary or Saanvi or Anshul etc...my eyes were only for Aru Mukhi today..the unbearable pain in both of them was portrayed so well. I hated the tears in Aru, like her chirpy self better.
And Mukhi- Eijaz...his portrayal of the must take decision albeit a cruel one, his guilt for hurting her, his pain of losing her, that too he was the man making the choice, he was the one rejecting her here for her own good , that made his pain much more deeper and permanent. --awesome Portrayal.
There is and will be no one else for Aru Mukhi. They may separate but they are each other. They both know that. Set in stone.
Beautiful episode. Its the the amount of grief in love and anguish in separation that makes the love story that much more sweeter.
I have an idea about why Dharmi Anshul and diary are related...about why the diary track was important ...will make a separate post about it.
