Shakti Singh Oberoi - The Long Time 'Silent Spectator' has spoken and he could not have said truer words. Today he rose from the background and the shadows, where he normally prefers to happily stay (out of the direct limelight) and determinedly stepped into the forefront of his Family. Today he was 'Shakti Singh Oberoi' - Husband, Patriarch, Father-in-law and authoritarian. Today he showed us a glimpse of where Shivvay gets these qualities from.
The man seems to have been deeply shaken and affected by the very stark fact that HIS once upon a time, dysfunctional, yet 'happy and joyous' Family had suffered despair and unhappiness for the 3 long months that it slept through. He had been a silent spectator then and had failed his Family, trusting the reins into the hands of his power hungry and egoistical wife but that was then and this is now.
It was when his Oberoi Palace fell into a deep dark sleep because of the 'spell cast by the evil witch'. He is very well aware of who that witch was, it seems form his talk today, but had been helpless to undo what had been done for some strange reason. But to his good fortune the 'goddess of light and happiness' found it in her heart to return to his desolate home and hearth and this time he seems kinda determined to stand in the way between the 'Dark Witch' and the "Goddess of Light'
I have no idea where they are going with Shakti but all I can say is his name too is an off shoot of the Goddess's aavatar from what I understand. Shakti, if I am right, is the Divine Force manifesting to destroy demonic forces and restore balance.
All his questions, observations and his conclusions were spot on. The man seems very much to be bearing a grudge against his wife from what I see and is monitoring her every move as if afraid she will steal the 'Light and Happiness' of HIS family and house again. He seems to be very aware of what she is capable of (he is not his son) and is not blind to her faults. He has been a patient and understanding man most times except in a few instances where you see the 'Flash of Anger like Unexpected Lightning' and you get a glimpse of where Shivvay gets his qualities of 'striking when least expected' from.
What is the real issue here Pinky? Lets be honest that it is not the discipline and rules in the house that you are actually concerned about. It is actually the fact that you cannot bear that 'Light and Happiness' has returned to my home. He almost accused her of breaking his happy Family and sending his son into the depths of hopelessness. He had trusted his precious son in her hands and she almost destroyed him.
Today he gave her a stern and fair warning as a husband but the foolish woman underestimates the man she is married to. He will not fall short of dragging her and throwing her out of his house (like she made his son drag his wife) in order to maintain the peace and happiness in his home. He is after all Shivvay's father and has the same fierce Oberoi Blood that his son has. Just like his son scarified his wife and marriage to safe-guard his Family I don't doubt for a second Shakti will do the same to safe guard HIS.
I do not even want to imagine what would happen if both Father and Son learn about her true intentions or find out that their DIL/wife was put in harms-way for her revenge and pride.
Him sitting behind Jhanvi reminded me so much about Om sitting behind Annika. The man has become like a fierce guard-dog of this happiness that was stolen from him and he will attack anyone who dares to threaten it, so it seems. He was probably thirsting for this 'Light and Happiness' that his DIL always manages to surround the OM with just like his son and like a greedy and hungry man, he is going to protect it at all costs this time. I just realized that Pinky's OMM is probably written at the hands of HER husband - poetic justice if that happens.

If this is how Shakti feels about her right now, it is only going to get worse if her partnership with Ragini comes out. She will be proven beyond doubt to have planned and be planning the ShivIka split. A happy loving couple that she almost destroyed because of her evil thoughts and ways.
So after that even if Pinky warns them about Tej it is going to back fire on her... Tej is going to pull a Pinky and make her the Annika. This time the shoe might be on the other foot and
Shakti might accuse her of trying to target his Brother and Bhabhi's happiness and cause that couples rift.
