She locked herself in her room, unable to bear any more taunts. Her Dad knocked at her door, and she knew it was him. So, she opened the door, wiping the tears in haste.

"Geet,beta...You are okay?

She was not okay, but she didn't want to trouble her Dad anymore.

"Baba, I am okay. I was just getting ready to go to bed.

Her Dad understood she needs some time to get over the whole incident, and left her alone, planting a kiss on his beloved daughter's temple. However, he was angry at the boy who tormented his princess.

"Jasmeet...I will not spare him.

"Mohinder, calm down. This age is such, boys tend to do such things in this age. Geet should have been careful. She shouldn't have gone with him.

"I don't believe that. My daughter is a very sensible child and she would never go with a boy, without our knowledge, he scolded Jasmeet.

"Oh, your daughter...you still consider me an outsider, even after loving her more than my children, she sobbed.

"I don't know what to say, he pinched his forehead in frustration, I trust my daughter, and that boy will have to answer for what he's done. I don't care even if he is some King's son. He's hurt my Geet, I won't spare him.

Jasmeet looked on as he went inside the room.

Maan was quiet all the while. His mum looked at his dad and gestured him not to scold him.

She held his hand and pulled him gently out of Maan's room, closing the door behind her.

"Why would he do that? I still can't believe it. Our son, our Maan would behave in such a disgraceful manner, kidnapping a girl? Oh My God...the whole media would go crazy with the news. First Dev and now Maan.

"Aap shaant ho jayiye. We'll talk to him in the morning, zaroor kuch baat hogi. Maan would never do such a thing.

"You still believe that after seeing everything with your own eyes."

Late in the night...

Geet snuggled into the bed, trying to shut the tears.She woke up with a start.

"What was that noise?

She switched on the bed lamp on the side shelf, and let out a squeak.

"SSShhh... he lunged forward, closing her mouth with his palm.

"Don't shout, it's me.

She stared in horror, unable to speak a word. His eyes stared back, but they were not angry anymore like she had seen earlier. There was something in his eyes, some spark.And then her eyes moved to the wound on his forehead,the corner of his lips, and his cheek, reminding her of the beating he received at the hands of the police, before she was pulled away from the site by her father.

"I am sorry," he spoke looking into her eyes.

He removed his hand from her mouth and rushed out of the window leaving her gasping for breath.
