He may be putting up an act in front of everyone. While he may remember everything which happened 16 yrs ago. There is more to it than what it looks. Who knows he might be the one who is taking his revenge on Indrani since many years and now he finally gets a chance to do so.

May b she killed yash wife or hid her somewhere then married him in name of kid

Exactly I too feel the same
When he called her chandni its like he is trying to show his emotion but suddenly feared of something he backed out
Indrani would've blackmailed him so to save his daughter from her he might be acting
