Ok...I saw all 5 episodes...and am all caught up with IPPKND...

WOAHHH...

This is quite a story!! Chick...yes, it did remind me of the show with Suman and Shravan...the childhood mistake by the FL...and the grudges and horrible consequences suffered by the ML...except the consequences are even more horrible in this...A real Sazish...by FLs own mother to seize the power for her husband...If IPKKND 1 made excuses and was coy about people doing horrible things, and pretended that they were all good people...IPK3 makes no such apologies...they are not all good people...thank you very much...

But what is interesting...is that the mother is not all bad either...she cares for her daughter who has been brutalized...is courageous...is not narrow minded and does the right things at times...this is what makes her character interesting...and not boring as for any other run of the mill vamp..Good actress...👏

There is. comedy and a hello hi type character...who is speaking broken wali English...😆 and the siblings...boy aren't the siblings interesting...the brother reminds me of Zaki...carefree dude...just the right fit for the domineering brother like ASR! The girls are ok...didn't quite make an impression on me yet...but I liked the Kulhar dialogue...👍🏼

There is Chandani...I actually really liked the actress ...I think she is perfect for the role...displays the vulnerability that is key to this character...I think Gul did well casting for this role...The girl is doing full justice to the role and looking very pretty ...I am positively surprised...it is better than I expected...

And then there is ASR...what can I say about him...if any other actor played this role...I probably would have been turned off by now...or soon...but when it is Sobti as ASR...I am in very generous mood and tend to not worry about anything...but just enjoy the chemistry...which is as sharp as it was in IPK1... Kuch toh hei in BS and GK combination that just makes it work!

EDIT: I must add...the scene in which he goes back to his house and is all teary eyed...he connects with the audience even when he is being horrible...! Quite AMAZING!!

Just wanted to add...

I was a big fan of IPK1 and still am...but that really matters only as much as to enjoy the stuff I liked before and then look at the new elements with a fresh set of eyes...not letting the past spoil what is here and now...

Everyone who has read my Sushpectives before...stop by and say hello...not sure if I'll be making regular posts...but just wanted to let you know that I am watching this show...and like what I have seen so far...

If you haven't read Sushpectives before but want to share any thoughts...you are equally welcome...

I am so glad to see you here sush with your analysis.
I am a huge fan of your sushpective posts.
And I agree with you that this show is awesome.
I am loving it.
All the characters are layered.
In fact this time both ML & FL have a past.
The girl is traditional and educated...speaks fluently in Sanskrit & English.
And moreover Barun and Shivani are doing full justice to their respective characters.
And Ritu Shivpuri as Indrani is terrific.
Hoping to hear more daily or weekly analysis from you.

I like the girls character...she is coming across authentic...even though the show is on high octane and high on drama...and yes, glad that it is not a ML past focused show...FL has a past...and a horrific one...which makes you feel as sympathetic towards her...as for the ML...

Jeez...Don't get me started on him...I really get so frustrated listening to the news now a days...one reason...why fantasy looks more attractive now...where what seems to be so bad...and horrible is actually what you can count on in the end...unlike the real world...where people are fooled into believeing all the falsehoods that are fed to them as reality...they eat it up...and are left hanging high and dry with a much worse deal than they ever imagined...
