Redux - Episode 2 analysis - Elan-E-Jung
The clouds of revenge gather as Advay resurrects Lord Shiva's monolith to it's resplendent glory. The perfect earthly mix of brain, brawn and handsome poise. The man has his eye pinned stead fast on the "lakshya" of revenge. His first clash with the old order that resists the new.. As goons goaded by the temple mahant's family member attack him he fights them back with the blessings of Bholenath. They won't have a 'nobody' stake claim to their rightful share of being seen as the strong protectors of Shivji's temple...Yet the 'nobody'strikes a cord with everybody present to be hailed as a god send to prevent a catastrophe.
The first chink in the formidable Vashisth family reputation is cleverly cast with the help of his faithful brother.An able Nandi to our mortal hero moulded in the inspirational shades of Mahadev.
As Advay the new guy in town brings order in the chaotic temple premise, Chandni steps out of her self imposed imprisonment to keep the old tradition of maha arti intact( the background strains of the boul song o majhi re ami kono kul pailam na/oh! boatman I couldn't find the bank to moor my boat are ominous.) To uphold what she holds precious and dear a sheltered and protected surrounding is left behind. Will the tide of times bring her back to it's safe shores ?
The shy, frightful girl that we we were introduced to earlier springs forth a surprise too.. She has a resolve of steel beneath the deceptive petite frame..Chandni doesn't shy away to fight for what is correct and fair...Alone with conviction she stands forth for the rights of the third gender community to offer their obeisance at the temple of Ardhnareshwar.
