Sooo, as I can gather a very complex situation is arising in the lives of our protagonists. It's like a puzzle of human relations and emotions... Which get tangled the more you think about it. And probably will never never be completely resolved because in real life nothing is that clean or neat. But yes, for the sake of this story we want to see these matters reach some resolution. I thing I want to mention before I start is engaging our minds with these intricacies is like a breath of fresh air... Distinct from the kidnappings, murder attempts, endless plotting, accidents, memory losses etc that go in the shows. So we that to be thankful for! Though given the current state of irritation and frustration every one is in I don't know how much of that is possibleđ
Anyways let's start with what could unravel so far. It's amazing how these relationships have entangled themselves where everything seems on the surface as it should be but still is far from it.
First taking the issue with ishwari. Dev and ishwari's bond from day one has been a core pillar and trait of his character. We have seen earlier how this interfered with dev sona's relation and played a major part in its breaking. Today all of them understand this. As dev said that his mom doesn't want to make the same mistakes and interfere again THIS time. Ishwari understood this too as she says to asha that this is not her time and she is willing to take a step back so that they can have time for themselves. And clearly asha has always known it which is reflected in her book. But her reaction now is very similar to that of sona. Sona ,as she herself said never blamed ishwari for their break up. She was angry on dev, them, and even herself that their relationship proved to be weak. So it follows that distancing ishwari from dev in the pretext of their relationship was never what she wanted.
However today as she is back in the house after seven years she sees many things has changed. That the mother son bond has developed some cracks in them. And as she says to riya, she somewhere feels responsible for the breaking of these relations. And all her efforts are directing towards correcting them. That is why her conversation with dev about what he is missing, how he hurt ishwari, and how some things like this should never change no matter what. But what I feel we are missing is her verbal acknowledgement. She needed to herself say this to dev that she is somewhere feeling responsible, that she never wanted this. That she is sorry though it is not directly her fault. This is one. And second she needs to understand that it was indeed not because of her but because these people themselves. She needs to understand why dev kept himself away from them. It is not only because she left him but because they hurt him to. That Ishwari hurt him is clear and also why he was miffed with her and distanced himself, by his sisters too didn't really hurt him like that but did wrong by him by leaving him then. Definitely. So she needs to realise that if dev owes them a sorry and needs to extend a hand...they need to reciprocate as well. They too definately owe him an apology (which ishwari has done to some extent) or at least an acknowledgement of how they hurt him.
And ultimately after everyone is dealt with she herself needs to talk with dev about this. About how she didn't want to hurt him like this. Something like dev said after reading those mails? Like that. That not intentionally but still she became a cause by leaving him. And that she UNDERSTANDS what she went through in these years. Then I think they can safely put their past in the past.
Coming to my second point, I hate this labelling of sona as mahaan. She is not. Yesterday, in both scenes she meant she never wanted their relationship at the cost of his and ishwari's. That just because they are together doesn't mean ishwari would have to keep herself away. That whatever mistakes they all meant..now time has changed that situation, and simple things like ishwari waiting for dev at the table which spoke of their bond shouldn't have changed whatsoever. In the precap her question to ishwari probably meant the same thing.
Thirdly, sona needs to understand how with dev she also needs a lesson in managing relationships. That along with his mother and sisters.. Their relationship needs attention too. Dev hinted towards this yesterday when he said that if they meet ishwari now her purpose of staying away will be defeated. And I hope today ishwari answers along the same lines. That her distancing himself is just maintaining her boundaries and not because of her per Dr. That its not a wrong thing or a problem as she perceives it. And in connection to this I somehow feel asha and her book will play a part here. Somehow maybe she comes across the book, or in her conversation with asha the topic comes out. And I feel ultimately it will be asha who will make her understand this.
But as of now, who will make her understand dev's perspective is the question. As in about the hell he went through these years, how everyone hurt him and owe him something etc. Let's see that.
And lastly about her steering the relationship. She has always been dominant one which is okay to some extent. As she herself had said, with her he would have to fulfil the relationship and not just duties and where he will falter she will hold him. So according to her that is what she is doing, that follows. And it's true probably thinking his sisters don't want him back dev would have never contacted them, thinking everything is as it should be dev would never have gone to ishwari with the plate of food. But this again brings me back to my first point always he can't be wrong and take the first step, relationships have to be reciprocal. And most importantly, let him be himself for some time. Be with her, support her. She has to let him.
So I think I have covered all points. As you see Bhai log, a lot of things going on, lots of complexities still to be solved. I firmly believe all this are as clear as daylight to the audience so if they have highlights it, the creatives must be going somewhere with this. So we have to have patience and see how the story unfolds.
