Too Much Manthra

haha yea I mean its like you said they sort of have taken it on as a daily soap......If you look at the old ramayan manthra had coverage yea but not like every episode....

Manthara was there all the time. And she dos have big role or I should say contribution to make Ram to Lord Shree Ram. Think if lord Vishnu took Avatar as Ram just to destroy Ravan and teach this world what our duties are in day to day life.

I agree with mmishra. We have seen a lot of Manthara but she is important for the story. And now they show the whole process of how Manthara poisoned Kaikeyi's mind. And that is great. It is making the whole story more realistic.

Ramayan is an universal story and religious for the hindu's. But you can make a modern serial about it. Like Anand Sagar said: they have more time to enlighten every aspect of the Ramayan. We cant expect just a religious story. I think that there will be a lot of things in the show that we will disagree with. But that will make it more realistic. And for todays audience it is important that it is more realistic.

When Kaikeyi came to Ayodhya after her marriage with Dashrath, then Manthara also came with her. Thus, Manthara stayed in Ayodhya since the time Kaikeyi stayed there.

Padm Puran says that Manthara was originally a celestial nymph. She was deputed by gods so that she could be instrumental in causing Ram to be sent to the forest so that He could kill Ravan. Thus, Manthara was the part of a divine plan.

Mantra is very pivotal role in the early stages of Ramayan. If she didnot brainwash Kaikeye, then Ram would have not left the kingdom at all and Ravan would not have died.

I like having Manthra, it's good to see how she poisoned Keikei.

Anyways, the actress is fab, she played Gandhari in Mahabharat. 😊

i think manthra is very important.....

see showing her more in important...

coz the story is going to change coz of that lady.

and her nagetivity should come out from every dailogue.

Wow is that Renuka Israni - I couldnt make her out.

I digged her portrayal of Gandhari in Mbh - and now she's a superb Manthra - that venom drips from sentence and eye movement of hers.

It is Renuka, when I first saw her, I took a while to figure it out. I couldn't work it out, I kept wondering who is she, then it clicked, and I was like OMG why did I not see it before? 😆

So friends we all will enjoy this serial.
