GOOGLE'S RECENT SMARTHPHONES ARE CODENAMED 'TAIMEN' AND 'WALLEYE'

Google's most recent smarthphones Pixel 2's have been codenamed Taimen' and Walleye' and the largest variant will have a 5.99-inch screen, according to a new leak.

According to a post from the platform of developers based in the United States, XDA-Developers, Google's largest Pixel 2-codenamed "Taimen will feature a panel of 1440p OLED.

The devices will run on Snapdragon 835 with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The note says the devices will have a glass and metal finish and could contain a single rear camera with dual LED flash.

The Walleye' or smaller Pixel 2 will have 4.97 inch screen with a resolution of 1080p. This device will also run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The devices would have thin bevels and premium price.

In 2016, Pixel was named in code as Sailfish (Pixel) and Marlin (Pixel XL).

According to reports, Google has sold one million Pixel devices so far.

Technology website Arstechnica reported last week that the facilities of the exclusive application "Pixel Launcher only exceeded the million mark.

According to the launcher's number of downloads, it was reported that Google sold one million Pixel devices in the last eight months.
