Brief Update
- Nandini takes money from Asim. When Karan asks, then she says that she cannot live in poverty and she criticizes Karan for not earning.
- Karan feels sad and goes out. After thinking over it, he realizes that Nandini is right because she wants him to work hard.
- Tulsi and Sahil meet Mihir in jail and inform him about KN engagement. Mihir is happy to know this.
- Karan does the work of a laborer at a construction site. He earns 40 rupees.
- Rishabh secretly follows Sahil and thus finds out where Ganga is.
Detailed Update
Nandini takes money from Asim and thanks him. Asim leaves.
Karan – Nandini, what is this you did?
Nandini (roughly) – The same, which I should have done.
She comes inside. Karan follows her.
Karan – Nandini, listen to me Nandini. Why did you take money from me?
Nandini puts the money inside almirah.
She does not answer and starts walking away. Karan stops her.
Karan – It was our decision not to take the money. Then, why did you take money from him? Answer me.
Nandini – Because I need money, Karan. I cannot wash utensils and clothes everyday. I did not go to his house to ask for money. Laxmi herself came to our house. It is not right to reject Laxmi. We do not have the status to reject. We are helpless for every penny. We are finding it difficult even to eat. If I get money, then you feel jealous. Then feel jealous. But I am not going to burn my hands while cooking. Look at my hands how they have become because of washing utensils. I am fed of this poverty.
Karan – Who does not see bad days, Nandini? And who asked you to work?
Nandini – Nobody asks you to work. But we get heaps of clothes and utensils. There are so many men in this house. They do not do anything. Only women work whole day. Some times, we give our jewelries and some times we sleep empty stomach. How long will this continue, Karan? It is very easy to say that we will live in poverty but it is very difficult to actually live. Every day is so tough. But how does it concern you? You are relaxing and getting everything – rotis to eat and clothes to wear. You cannot earn. If somebody else helps, then you feel pinch. I am even regretting my marriage with you. This marriage is like credit. You sold everybody's jewelries for engagement. Now what will you sell for marriage – me or yourself?
Karan – Enough, Nandini. I have always fulfilled my duty towards my family. Today, my condition is not good. It does not mean that others do not have any duty. There are so many people in this house.
Nandini – How do they matter to me? I am getting married to you. I will see your income and I have seen. You do not have any worth.
(Of course, Karan should matter to you the most. But it is wrong to think that others do not matter. In a joint family, everybody matters.😉)
Karan – You are talking like Tripti.
Nandini – Truth is always bitter. You love me a lot? Then bring two time's food and a nice life for me. Otherwise, forget love. Love does not fill stomach. Even for love, money is needed.

Karan goes out of the chawl feeling sad. Tulsi tries to stop him but Karan does not stop.
Tulsi – What happened to Karan?
Sahil – What happened, Badi Ma?
Tulsi – I do not know what has happened to Karan. I called him so many times but he did not reply.
Sahil – He is very disturbed because of Tripti. He might not have heard.
Tulsi – May be. After the engagement, every thing will be all right. He will again be happy. Take me to your Mihir Papa. He will be so happy to hear about engagement.
Sahil – Yes, badi Ma. Let us go. Bade Papa will be so happy.
Tulsi (excitedly) – Just wait. I will come.
Karan is sitting on a bench.
Karan – Nandini, you gave me courage and today you broke my courage. Why? Nandini did the right thing. I will work hard and earn. This is what Nandini wants. The time has come when I should again bring happiness for my family.
Tulsi and Sahil meet Mihir.
Tulsi – The day is not far Mihir when Karan and Nandini will be together once again. Because of the engagement, the whole family was so happy. We all were together. Even the biggest attack by Tripti cannot break this unity.
Mihir – I have full faith Tulsi that Karan will not let our family break. Now, even if I die, I do not have any problem.
Tulsi – No, Mihir. (Wiping her tear) This is the time to rejoice. Do not talk such things.
Sahil – Yes, Bade Papa. Whatever happiness we have is because of you. We will be happy only if you are happy.
Tulsi gives sweets to Mihir.
"Pyar bahut karte hain tumse" plays.
Karan sees some people who know him. They call Karan. Karan hides.
Karan – If they see me, then they will behave like others. One more insult. I must leave.
After some time, Karan sees a building.
Karan – May be there is some vacancy here.
Then he notices the board. The board says "Trupti Plastic".
He does not go inside and keeps moving here and there to look for job.
Karan hears some laborers talking.
Laborers (to the contractor) – Two laborers are not enough. Three are needed.
Contractor – The entire work should be finished by today evening. Otherwise, my boss will kick me out of job.
Laborers – How can so much of work be done by just two people? Bring one more person and the work will be finished fast.
Karan – If you allow, then shall I do the work of the third laborer?
Laborers – But, saheb, you do not look like a laborer.
Karan – Please, please. Let me do this job. I will do it.
Contractor – You cannot do this, saheb.
Karan – Please give me a chance. I will do it. I will not give you any reason to complain.
Contractor – OK, as you wish. I just want the work to be done.
Karan does the job of a laborer, carrying heavy bags, cement etc. "Ye jivan hai, is jivan ka" plays. After finishing work, he earns 40 rupees.
Karan – This 40 rupees is equal to 40 crores for me. I will go and give to Ma and Nandini. This is the income of my hard work. Nandini will be so happy. If Ma sees my torn shirt, then she will be very sad.
He folds the sleeves of his shirt so that the torn part is not seen.
In the chawl, Damini is cutting vegetables.
Damini – Nandini, please help me.
Nandini – I am tired. You do yourself.
Damini – OK, I will do. You go and take rest.
Nandni walks away angrily.
Damini – What has happened to Nandini?
Damini sees Nakul.
Damini – Nakul beta, you are going for interview?
Nakul – Yes, chachi. (Good, Nakul. You are helping Karan.👏)
Damini – Wait a little.
Gayatri – You are going to look for job, beta? All the best.
Damini gives some curd to Nakul.
Damini – Eat this curd.
Nakul touches the feet of Damini and Gayatri.
Damini – You have my blessings. You will get job.
Nakul – Chachi, if I have your blessings, then I will definitely get a job.
Outside, Sanchi sees Nakul.
Sanchi – All the best. You have to go very far for the interview. Go in auto. Otherwise, you will be late. Do you have money for the auto?
Joydip sees them.
Joydip – You still did not go? Go fast.
Nakul goes. Joydip and Sanchi smile.
Joydip – Sanchi, you must have explained everything to him. Right?
Sanchi blushes and leaves.
Joydip laughs. Bhumi comes there. Joydip becomes serious. Bhumi is smiling.

Tanya – Nandini, Karan is not here. Has he gone somewhere?
Karan comes from behind.
Nandini – He must be here somewhere. Anyway, what work does he have? Where will he go?
Karan and Nandini look at each other. Nandini goes from there without saying anything.
Karan – Nandini.
Karan goes behind her.
Sahil – Badi Ma, you move. I will see Ganga.
Tulsi – OK, beta. Take care of her.
Sahil gets in an auto.
Sahil(to driver) – Stop.
After some time, he makes the auto stop and starts walking. Somebody is following him; only his feet are shown. Sahil suspects that somebody is following him. He looks back but does not see anybody. He continues walking. After some time, he hides behind a wall and secretly checks if somebody is following him. Still, he does not see anybody.
Sahil meets Ganga and is taking care of her. Rishabh comes just outside the flat where Ganga is kept. He smiles wickedly. (So, the person following Sahil was Rishabh. He was doing it to find out where Ganga is kept.)

Tripti goes to Ganga.
Tripti – Open your eyes, Ganga. Good bye.
Tripti raises a knife to kill Ganga.
(I am sure Tripti will be caught and Ganga will be saved.)
