Why Bollywood and world is moving from chikna to hairy look

I have noticed that before in general most people and bollywood actors use to be chikna.

Chikna is a term used for clean shaven male.

Notice Rishi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Vonod Khanna, Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khannad and Amitabh all had chikna avtaar. SRK, Aamir, Akshay and Salman started with Chikna avtaar also

But now it seems every one has a beard. Even around myself in west I am seeing growing trend of beard.

Every second Indian Pakistan actor has that classic small beard..not maulvi long beard. Indian team had beard i believe

What is up?

Who started this?

Is it to avoind showing wrinkles?

Maybe to hide features?

Avoid warm weather and getting darker or tanned under sun?

Do girls like chiknas or beardos

Please share your opinion on this matter and help Hippo get to bottom of this.

My view is that older people are sporting beard to hide wrinkes. Anil kapoor looks like he has painted his face and everyone calls him young.

i like guys with stubble and beard

some of friends says they wanted to avoid double-chin thats why😆 and some chicknas doesnt get beard so easily too hippo😊

Beard makes most guys look better as they can cleverly camouflage certain features. Like Virat Kohli above is very weird looking but much better looking with beard than without/

And yes, older people are using beard like Anil Kapoor to hide their wrinkly skin.

For older men- to hide wrinkles

For younger men- to appear more manly, to hide a weak looking chin or unattractive features

I prefer the clean shaved look, maybe a little stubble is okay but not full fledged beard

Everyone seems to have stubble these days...lol

There are two types of chiknas...real chiknas who do not get beard...

Then there are greenish chiknas...who after shaving so many teams look clean shaved but turn greenish/grayish where beard is

yes he does look strange so beard is helping him out

but with a personality like him and record like him look is the last thing girls looking for lol

yep my conclusion as well

sudden rise in beards and even among goras here in US has more to do with older men hiding wrinkles and younger wanting to look manly..

To hide facial features is main reason I guess.

But all other reasons are varied as well.

Men really have to be good looking to pull off the clean shaven look.
