Kar - I will later, it depends on what is exactly happening with me and Tia
KK - dude, you guys are going out now
Kar - yeah, if she's ok with it
KK - whatever, but you have to tell them soon ok? we can't keep lying to mom and dad
Kar - I know don't worry
KK goes off upstairs while Karan wonders how Angad and Kripa will react, he shakes off the thought and goes to bed.
Part 11
Ar/R - WHAT???
Aryan and Roshni stare at Ria and KK as the news of Tia and Karan is broken to them
KK - we said, Tia and Karan went out on a date last night because they kissed each other a few days ago, and now they are going out
Aryan looks to the left and sees Tia and Karan standing there with their heads bowed down, he faces them
Ar - is this true?
Karan looks up at Aryan and slowly nods his head, Aryan looks from Karan to Tia and back again then bursts out in laughter
Ar - dude that's awesome!!!!
Kar - it is?
Ar - of course!!!
Aryan looks at Tia and smiles, he puts his arm around her
Ar - who would have thought you would grow up this fast?
T - yeah yeah Di already gave me that speech last night....so you guys ok with this?
Roshni smiles and hugs Tia
R - of course we are
Ri - yeah you just have to tell all our parents
Ar - for once Ria said something intelligent
Ri - very funny
Ar - thank you...so Karan when will you tell everyone about you and Tia?
Kar - soon Aryan, not yet
Ar - ok as you wish, but hey just because you two are going out it doesn't mean you can spend all your time together alone understand
They all start laughing
Kar - nah don't worry about that, we'll still hang out with you guys, anyways its time for lesson, KK, Roshni shall we go?
KK, Karan and Roshni head off to their lesson while Tia heads off to hers leaving Ria and Aryan on their own, Aryan stares at Ria
Ar - do you need an invitation to go to class?
Ri - no
Ar - then why are you still standing here?
Ri - what's it to you? I'll stand wherever I want to stand
Ar - whatever
Aryan starts to walk off, after a few minutes he turns around and gets scared as Ria is standing behind him
Ar - what are you doing?
Ri - walking
Ar - yeah but what's the need to walk behind me?
Ri - because I wanted to ask you something
Aryan stares at Ria
Ar - well what is it then??
Ri - oh yeah, I'm going out tonight to this party, dad's making a fuss about it, he says I can go if one of you guys go
Ar - so, tell KK to go with you
Ri - I did but KK said he's busy, and Karan says he has to study so that leaves you...so will you go with me?
Ar - hmmm....no
Ri - what why not?
Ar - because what am I going to do there? You're going to run off with your friends and I'll be stuck on my own
Ri - please Aryan.....dad won't let me go otherwise
Ar - but...
Ria frowns
Ar - fine....I'll go but I'm leaving the second I get bored
Ri - oh thank you thank you thank you
In impulse Ria hugs Aryan and kisses his cheek, Aryan pulls back
Ar - don't do that again
Ri - oh sorry, ok so pick me up at 8 ok?
Ar - yeah yeah whatever....now hurry up and get to your lesson
Ria flashes him a smile and runs off in the opposite direction while Aryan takes out his phone
Ar - hello chachu? yeah I'm just calling to let you know that I'm taking Ria to that party she wants to go to......yeah I'll stay with her, don't worry chachu, ok bye
Aryan hangs up and heads to his lesson. Meanwhile Karan and the rest of the class (except KK😆) are all busy doing their work when the door bursts open and Ria stands there looking scared, she looks at the professor
P - why are you late?
Ri - sir the thing is....I was....
P - you were what?
Ri - erm...
P - forget it, you have detention after school for half an hour, now go sit down
Ri - yes sir
Ria takes her seat next to Roshni who nudges her
R - where were you?
Ri - talking to your dear brother, and convincing him to take me to that party I told you about
R - well, couldn't you do it after college?
Ri - it doesn't matter now..what did I miss?
R - well...
Ri - on second thoughts just give me your notes later ok?
R - sure
Ri - thanks
Roshni smiles and gets back to doing the work while Ria tries to keep up with what the professor is saying.....halfway through the lesson...
P - ok everyone listen, as you may or may not be aware, you all have a presentation due in 2 months
The class groan, the professor glares and they quieten down
P - as I was saying you have a presentation, and usually it is an individual presentation but over the years many students have requested that they be able to work in pairs or groups...so this year I have decided that this will be a joint presentation
girl - can we pick our own partners?
P - no, I will assign partners, I will produce a list and stick it on to the college bulletin tomorrow so make sure you check it, and just because it is a joint presentation it doesn't not mean that one student does all the work and the other slacks around, both of you will be individually graded by the level of performance within class and will be tested on all aspects of the presentation, so no slacking
The professor begins to hand out the presentation requirements, Karan gets his and begins to read it thoroughly, KK gets his and shoves it into his bag, Roshni gets her and skims through it, Ria gets hers and folds it so it fits into her handbag. As soon as the class is over everyone leaves, KK, Karan, Ria and Roshni all head to the canteen, KK goes to get drinks while the others sit down
Ri - I hate that professor....giving me detention like that
Kar - well you were late
Ri - so? I don't care
KK - don't care about what?
KK sits down and hands the drinks to them
R - about her detention with professor
KK - oh yeah, don't stress, its only half an hour, it will be over soon, so chill
The guys talk for a while when Tia comes in, she stands at the table
T - hi guys
KK - hey Tia, what's up?
T - nothing, erm Karan I needed to speak to you
Kar - sure
Karan gets up
Ri/KK - ooooo
Kar - shut up guys....lets go Tia
Karan and Tia leave
Ri - how cute, hey listen KK...your brother better not break my sisters heart
KK - or what?
Ri - I will make your life a livvng hell
KK - whatever...chill ok, nothing like that will happen, so you still going to that party?
Ri - of course, I persuaded Aryan to go with me
KK - cool....have fun
The gang continue to talk then head off to classes once the bell rings. Soon enough its end of college and Ria is sitting in the living room dressed up waiting for Aryan, she keeps glancing at the clock much to Prithvi's annoyance
P - Ria, stop staring at the clock, it isn't going to go faster if you glare at it
Ri - what can I do....I'm going to be late to the party if Aryan doesn't turn up
P -you and this party, I don't see the big deal
Suhana comes into the room
Su - right like you never used to party
P - what?
Ri - oh my....really mom?
Su - of course, your dad and your uncle Angad used to go to these wild parties, stay out all night and come back drunk
Ri - dad! and you're lecturing me? very bad
P - Suhana you're meant to be on my side
Su - yeah I am....
P - then what's this? anyways Ria, you shouldn't do what your parents do but do as they say
Ri - yeah dad...sure....
The doorbell rings and Ria jumps up and runs to answer, she opens it and finds Aryan standing there
Ri - what took you so long?
Ar - I had stuff to do, now do you want to go or not?
Ri - of course
Ar - then go sit in the car while I say hello to your mom and dad
Aryan pushes past Ria and goes inside, Ria curses him under her breath but goes to his car. Aryan gives Prithvi and Suhana a hug
P - by the way Aryan, do you know where the party is?
Ar - no idea chachu, I'm just the driver
P - I see, well don't stay out too long
Ar - of course chachu....ok see you aunty
Aryan leaves the house, he sits in the car and finds Ria glaring at him
Ar - why are you looking at me like that for?
Ri - because you took to long!
Ar - don't get angry or I'll change my mind and leave you here!
Ria is about to say something but decides against it and sits still, Aryan grins and starts the car.
