Thank you for all the support guys! Sorry it's been taking a while to write these. Any time I do get goes into replies or updates on IF. I am trying here, believe me. I'd like to note that I don't exactly know how to do this PM notification thing. How do you send mass PMs to a group of people. I'm actually really new to IF and this system and would appreciate if someone explained it a bit to me.
PS: Ignore grammar mistakes please. Writing this on my phone is so much harder.
Chapter Three: Meeting Arrogance Incarnate

Oberoi Industries, near Saumya's desk - 11:34 am
"How dare I? No, how dare you! Who do you think you are?" Annika snapped back at Shivaay, hearing the anger in his voice and responding with her own.
Saumya physically shook, she was so afraid for Annika and on top of that she responded back to SSO so rudely. "She's gone, she's gone now. And I actually thought she was really cool." Saumya muttered to herself, disappointedly as she wished she could do something to help.
Shivaay and Annika faced off. A fire was lit between them, and it was about to evolve into a blazing wild fire that would engulf the spectators that gaze upon their battle.
"I know I'm Shivaay Singh Oberoi."
"Well I'm Annika Chaturvedi, and your point is?"
The other employees gasped as Annika retorted to Shivaay's answer. Shivaay stared incredulously at this woman who dared to answer him back in such a manner.
"Do you even know who you're talking to?"
"Shivaay Singh Oberoi, yes I do, you just said your name not even 5 seconds ago. Did you forget your own name?"
"Who do you think you are to-"
"I just told you, Annika Chaturvedi. Can't you hear?
Annika had just answered back to Shivaay, not once or twice, but three times now. The audience watching in the background were compelled. It had been the first time someone responded to Shivaay and was still standing after moments of being in his face. Shivaay, himself, was left baffled by Annika. It was understatement to say that Shivaay's anger reached the sky. It was as if sparks began flying whilst they clash without regard to their surroundings. They held each other's undivided attention.
In his rage, Shivaay threw his cold espresso on Annika. He had enough of this girl who dared defy him. Shivaay made a half-smile as he enjoyed dripping her in coffee.
Annika began coughing, she wiped the espresso on her face. She was shocked. Did this man just throw coffee on her? "It's so bitter, just like him. That's probably why he drinks it." Annika thought to herself, she looked at the coffee stains on her. Annika became furious. "How will she get these stains out now?" Annika looked up at Shivaay, saying her anger had reached the sky was an understatement as well.
"Did you just throw your coffee on me?!" Annika yelled at the man. Stepping toward him threateningly as she was filled with rage.
"Yes, and it's called espresso, for your kind information." Shivaay responded amused, his smile still on his face. He took thrill in her current state.
"Oh really? Fine." Annika looked around, at the other employees, at Saumya. She had enough. Annika stepped towards Saumya's desk again. She grabbed her mug of water as quick as she could and splashed it over Shivaay's face. Saumya tried to speak to stop her, Saumya's mouth opened but closed as quickly as the mug was grabbed.
Shivaay was taken aback, he wiped the water off his face. He glared at Annika, who wore anger across her face. Annika threw the mug on the floor, letting it break. The last shred of patience that Annika had was all but lost.
Shivaay stepped toward Annika, he walked right into her personal space. Annika did not look away nor step back. They looked at each other, eye to eye. "Apologize. Now." Shivaay spoke in a deadly low tone as he stared into Annika's brown eyes. He noted how unafraid she is.
Annika raised an eyebrow at that. "Why don't you apologize for throwing your kali coffee on me and maybe I'll consider it." Annika said back to the man in a cold tone.
Shivaay half-smiled, the game was still in his hand. "Fine then, you're f-" Shivaay began but was interrupted.
"Wait Shivaay!" Another voice came, stopping Shivaay from firing Annika. It was Omkara. Shivaay and Annika looked in his direction. Saumya and the employees looked in the same direction.
"Om?" Annika muttered to herself.
Shivaay turned back to Annika, baffled that she knew his brother.
In anger, Shivaay turned to Omkara again. "No Om, do you know how this insolent girl was speaking to me?!"
Omkara walked to Shivaay and Annika. "Let's talk about this."
"No! I can't bear this middle class garbage. Not even for another second! I want her out of this office, NOW!" Shivaay boomed with his rage.
It donned Annika that this man was the boss. Annika rolled her eyes. "Why? Why did this happen to me again." Annika thought to herself, looking up to God for an answer.
"Okay, Shivaay, chill. Let's just sort this." Omkara started, trying to de-escalate the situation.
"No! Which idiot hired her? Who in their right mind could hire such a blind, stupid girl who can't watch where she's going!"
"You know, that's rich coming from you. You were on your phone, who walks while texting? And you called me stupid..." Annika retorted back to Shivaay, rolling her eyes at his insolence to dare say this was her fault.
Tia stood watching the scene. She was worried for Shivaay. He was drenched in water and that fashion disaster was the reason. She had been watching up till now, but she stayed silent. How could she say it was her that hired Annika. Tia was frozen in place.
"Well I called Annika here, but I didn't get to hire her myself. Tia beat me to it." Omkara confirmed, worriedly. He couldn't lie, but he knew what would happen next.
Shivaay turned to the direction of Tia. He was royally pissed off at his girlfriend for hiring such a fool. Tia visible shivered in fear. Tia looked down in shame. She felt Shivaay's gaze on her. Tia said nothing in her defence.
Shivaay would scold Tia for this later, and much later have a talk with Om, but first things first. "Well, I am taking it upon myself to fire her right now."
Omkara, Saumya, Tia and especially Annika, responded with shock. Annika's face turned to one of irritation. Annika was about to say something but Omkara stopped her and held onto Shivaay's shoulder.
"I can't let you do that, Shivaay. Sorry but I'm not letting you fire, Annika. I brought her here, and I'm keeping her here." Omkara's resolve was absolute. He had made a promise to Ishana to help Annika get a job and she trusted Annika would be safer in his work environment. Om wouldn't be able to face Ishana if he allowed Annika to get fired on the first day like this.
Shivaay didn't understand why he would want someone like her here. Why was he helping her? Shivaay remained confused by this, but he couldn't hurt Omkara. Shivaay was a brother before anything, and he couldn't deny his brother this way. Still, he wanted to get rid of the girl.
"Fine. She can stay." Shivaay said, almost ultimately, but he doesn't mean it. He will fire Annika. Shivaay intends to remove Annika from this office, but it will be her that leaves from here of her own will.
Omkara relaxed. He expressed happiness that he agreed to keep Annika, but it put him off that he agreed so easily. Om decided not to doubt Shivaay, he trusted his own brother.
Shivaay and Annika glared at each other. Metaphorical sparks flew as they stared at each other menacingly, cursing the other. The intensity grew with every passing second. Shivaay dismissed himself. "Tia, to my cabin. Now." The Tyrant King ordered as he went back to his office. Tia gulped.
A person in the background was holding the phone. They were recording the entire fight that went down between Shivaay and Annika after they stopped to stare at each other. Khanna, Shivaay's security guard, taped their shoulder. "Can you send me the video." The recorder happily agreed and sent the video to him.
Oberoi Industries, Shivaay's Cabin - 11:40 am
Shivaay and Tia met in his cabin. It was needless to say that Shivaay was furious. He couldn't tell off Om, but Tia was not an exception. "What were you thinking when you hired that roadside trash girl into this office?!"
"But Shivaay baby, she had Omkara's letter. How could I say no?" Tia responded, scared.
"So?! Do you have any idea how she spoke to me?! She threw water on me! On me, Shivaay Singh Oberoi."
"I'm sorry, Shivaay baby." Tia was almost in tears. Shivaay's anger scared her.
"Just go..." Shivaay tried simmering down when he noticed his girlfriend's eyes well up. He turned away from her. "Just go for now."
Tia left immediately, trying to wipe the tears off her face. Tia was upset. This was all that Annika's fault. Tia fumed with hatred.
Oberoi Industries, Cafeteria - 11:40 am
Annika tried cleaning herself off with Saumya's help. What a day this was. Annika felt like going home and just sleeping. This was a lot to beat in one day and she had the feeling it was only going to get worse from here on out. Now that she became a centre of attention by yelling at Shivaay Singh Oberoi. The office goers began talking about her.
"The girl has guts, yelling at SSO."
"She's gone. Messing with SSO is like suicide."
"That's true. He's going to cut her up and show her the door."
"That girl's dangerous, she threw water on SSO. Who is she?"
"She knew Omkara sir, I wonder what their relationship is?"
"Maybe she is the rumoured girlfriend of Omkara?"
"That girl is crazy, someone get her out of this office before SSO explodes on us."
Gossip and chatter came from all sorts of directions. Annika shivered a bit. The feeling was uncomfortable. Annika wanted to leave immediately, but she was helpless. Rent was going to be due and Baandari Bua wouldn't spare her or Ishu.
Saumya left Annika alone why she washed herself off. Saumya thought to give Annika some space because of everything that happened. "I guess that lunch date wasn't going to happen any time soon." Saumya gave look of pity, sympathizing Annika from the distance.
Tia, alongside Simran and Pamela, made their way to Annika, who was sitting at a table. They stopped in front of her. Annika rolled her eyes almost exhaustively as she was trying to relax. Annika help but show visible disgust at the nautanki duo and their ring leader.
Tia raised an eyebrow at Annika's attitude. "You must think you're so smart. But let me tell you, you've made a grave mistake messing with Shivaay Singh Oberoi. No one beats him, I'd start packing if I were you."
Annika stared blankly at Tia and her stooges. Tia squinted her eyes, almost disappointed with the reaction. Annika wasn't sure whether to laugh or not. "Are you done with your nonsense? Or is there more? Because I have the feeling you aren't going to shut up anytime soon." Annika responded with a fake smile.
Before Tia flared back at Annika, Omkara came onto the scene. "Tia." Calling out to his brother's girlfriend, he didn't want her to speak any further.
"Annika, I'll drop you home. We should start again tomorrow." Om approached Annika, assuring her. He was trying to deescalate the tension going around in the office.
Annika agreed happily, she and Om left promptly leaving a fuming Tia with a fearful Simran and Pamela.
Chaturvedi House, Living Room - 12:32 pm
Omkara and Annika got to Chaturvedi House successfully. Ishana had opened the door after hearing a knock. Ishana looked at Annika's state with shock. Her elder sister was drenched in coffee? Ishana looked at both Om and Annika who were exchanging glances. "What happened to you? And why are you covered in-" Ishana started with worry but was interrupted.
"Don't even ask, Ishu. Just don't even.." Annika shook her head, making her way inside. Omkara and Ishana shared a glance. Om looked away in shame as Ishana followed Annika. Omkara left from there.
"Just know that I met a kanji-eyed rakshas and he was the worst. I swear to God..." Annika sighed exasperatedly as she went to her and Ishana's room and threw her bag aside. Annika lay on the bed, trying to relax.
"I want full on details." Ishana looked over, crossing her hands as she stared at Annika with a frown. Ishana leaned on the pillar of the bed frame.
