Actor Johnny Depp donates 1 million to hospital

Actor Johnny Depp has generously donated a whopping 1 million to a London hospital that saved his daughter's life last year. Depp pledged the huge some to the Great Ormond Street hospital for taking care of his daughter with French model Vanessa Paradis last March when her kidneys failed after she contracted E. coli poisoning. Little Lily-Rose has since made a full recovery but it seems that Johnny wanted to make his thanks be known.

It is thought that he also recently visited the London hospital to thank the staff in person.

I read this in the paper. Such a noble deed but it is a shame that it took a tragedy like his daugther's illness to prompt the generous act.

awww.. that was really nice of johnny to show his thanks both in the monetary department as well as through thanking the doctors personally.
