I say Kudos to Priyanka and DP for making an effort to make a play for the International stage. It's definitely not easy because we look different, we speak with an accent and our sensibilities are also so different. Both Priyanka and DP have done some solid work in Bollywood and this the time they can experiment in looking at work in different spheres. If it's Hollywood so be it. I agree xxx or bay watch may not have been the best if the launch. But even in India in the initial stages both had to do equally silly or worse movies which sometimes have a better box office appeal. To a large extent Priyanka has managed to make a mark with Quantico. It's a super competitive industry out there and the fact that she has managed to create a buzz around her and is headlining a show for 3 seasons is actually amazing.

Not sure how the future will Pan out but it will be great to see them in more International ventures. Let's hope they get some good projects.

There indeed was a Meryl Streep film directed by Coline Serreau which was supposed to be a remake of the French film Chaos. And in Troy, she was offered the role of Helen, and it surely wasn't some "small role about showing skin etc". The role eventually went to Diane Kruger. In Hancock, her role went to Charlize Theron. And so on and so forth.

Aishwarya had some of the biggest offers with Meryl Streep, Will Smith, Brad Pitt - Directors of big Hollywood films were openly proclaiming that they want to cast Ash in her movies. She could have etched her name as a Penelope Cruz or Salma Hayek did. But I don't think she handled it well at all, since Hollywood was not her priority. She refused to go for a script reading session of Hancock with Will Smith because Abhishek's grandmother Teji Bachchan was unwell. She took a 5 year break for Aaradhya. She took a 6 month break when her father passed away. I don't think Ash is ambitious enough to go all out, because for her priorities revolve around her family first and then the rest. As her fan I just cannot wrap my head around the fact as to how she can throw away so many opportunities coming her way just for the sake of her family.

These are low numbers but even these will be impossible for Baywatch to match.
