Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: October 25: KBC 2 has managed to rope in the top commandos er...bahus of Indian television for their Diwali special episode. Both Smriti Irani and Saakshi Tanwar looking gorgeous in designer sarees.

Smriti in a watermelon pink saree and Saakshi in a red georgette saree were in the Diwali mood alright. "I wanted to give the tinge of a western look to Smriti's outfit. I have designed a saree for her keeping the western look in my mind. I have designed her saree in a watermelon pink shade that has a crepe crush feel to it which is very sensitive to touch and feel. The pallu of the saree is tapering towards the shoulders. I have lessened it on the width. Also there is a lot of zardosi handwork involved in it along with some cutwork and diamontes on it", said designer Fabeha, who designed Smriti's saree for the game show.

Tulsis Saree

Saakshi's designer Nim Sood went for red, keeping the festivities in mind. "Red was the color that sprang up to my mind when I thought of Diwali. Besides Sakshi also loves this color, and I've designed this saree with silver embroidery that gives a fitted and sleek look."

They did well in the style department but alas! They did not live up to their expectations. Advising siblings on family matters is probably what they are good at doing. Smriti Irani and Saakshi Tanwar gave the wrong answer for a question that would have fetched them 25 lac, due to which they earned only 6.5 lac for charity. Mr. Bachchan kept urging the to use the two lifelines left, but the lovely ladies turned a deaf ear and went with their 'instinct'.
