Finish watching the episode
Maha Maya and her doggy samay don't look like mentally ill from any angle. They are just saddist who find pleassure in killing and cutting human being.

Saanjh ka baap mar gaya, usse arjun ka itna pyaar mila, meri maa maregi to mujhe kitna pyar milega? 👎🏼 was totally criminal mind, not depressed mind.

If Samay would have been normal and been there by her side comforting her then too Duffer would tell him to move aside cuz only he can handle Saanjh. Just like he did when the lighting of the pyre was done. He told Samay to move away and he saanjh and Shubh lighted it. Shouldn't Samay hold that too cuz Prem had accepted him as his damaad ? rightfully he should also be holding it. We know what he is actually but duffer doesn't know... but yet he told him to move away. If Samay had been a normal guy with feelings for Saanjh his feelings would have been hurt.

Don't agree. Knowing that his fiancee has/had feelings for her friend which is not platonic jealousy would obviously have surfaced. Feelings would have been hurt and if Arjun wS not a married guy then the nice person would choose to move away from them just like Salman did in KKHH and Jitu too told her to go to her friend.

Well I was talking about saanjh and shubh doing it and arjun and Ayan also grew under prem. They were one big family. Samay would understand and never fill bad. The situation is like that one who is pure soul will not feel bad. If fact people who are genuine they are way more matured and understanding because this is time to support not feel bad. To think about supporting others not about self.

Secondly it's only ur kids can do it. Son in law cannot. In case of samay he has no family so it's OK otherwise if samay s parents are there he can't do it and for arjun prem was father figure right from childhood so lawfully or without law arjun has more right then samay.

Vandy was the one who said Samay should do it.
Among us also if there is no son ..son in law can light the pyre if the daughter doesn't feel like it. Apart from that brothers of the deceased can also do it but Mathur family seems to have no relatives. But why in Beyhadh they made a drama of that cuz Shubh was there and he is an adolescent. Prem had a son. I have seen little boys who are younger than Shubh here lighting their dads pyre.

Pure souls also have feelings.

Mindsets need to be changed now. Daughters have equal rights as sons. And Saanjh has equal rights as Shubh to do the mukhagni. So it was a relief to see them both do it together. A son in law is not a blood relation. Shows should be progressive not regressive and CVs did the right thing here.

I was very happy at that scene that CVs showed Saanjh performing that last rite. It was a very progressive scene, as in our society one of the key things people want a son is they believe only if son gives fire they will get the moksha. That attitude has to be changed. A daughter can also give moksha. The dialogues they made Arjun tell was also very apt. To get that agni from the child is a parent's right and it is a child's duty to do it. And no custom/ ritual can take away that right from Prem.
In the PH's previous show EHT also they did the same thing, making the daughter do the last rites not the son in law
