I am glad she is getting good reviews. I hope she gets more offers and major roles where she can shine through her performance.
As you2 said we need more south asian people on mainstream hollywood movies playing the lead.

James Marsh
South China Morning Post
while the team investigates the nefarious dealings of a local businesswoman (Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra).

He's the stock screwball Jewish sidekick that gets into a dance off with Priyanka Chopra's gorgeous kingpin. While the Indian goddess brings a (sadly underutilized) brainy charisma to every scene that feels fit for a better picture, Bass' pepperoni-nippled Ronnie is telling her that he learned to dance at Hebrew School

NO MENTION

He's joined by new recruit Matt Brody (Zac Efron) to take down a ruthless drug dealer (Priyanka Chopra).

The trail leads to a ruthless real estate mogul (Priyanka Chopra) who suspects the snooping lifeguards could pose a problem.

There's a plot, something about drugs, real estate development and aspiring Bond villain Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra in full diva mode),

Chopra looks like she's having fun, while the others basically get to stand around watching the action.

When a murderous stilettoed developer (Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra) starts flooding the Baywatch waters with ...

The bad guy is the ambitious Asian entrepreneur, played by a fully clothed Priyanka Chopra.

however, when dead bodies start showing up on the beach, shining suspicion on a local businesswoman (Priyanka Chopra).

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra judges the mood perfectly, playing the villain with exactly the right amount of dramatic flair ("I'm not a Bond villain... yet" she teases during an interrogation).

not to mention Priyanka Chopra as the film's seductive villain " hardly coming across as subversive or self-aware.

Of course, there's something else afoot as Priyanka Chopra's villain is using a local business to smuggle drugs onto the beach. Despite being incredibly talented, Chopra is clinically underused, the script offering her nothing to work with.

NO MENTION

it's connected to rapacious entrepreneur and club owner Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra, sneering like a B-movie villain).

a nefarious and equally hot local businesswoman (Quantico's Priyanka Chopra) schemes to turn the waterfront into a gateway for her drug-smuggling ring.

NO MENTION

The only other highlight is Priyanka Chopra as nefarious entrepreneur Victoria Leeds, who outshines pretty much anyone she's in a scene with. Chopra's engaging and interesting and is the only character that speaks with any kind of distinctive cadence, with the rest of the cast falling into the exact same pattern of delivery of their hackneyed gags

A gorgeous mogul, Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra), is opening a hot new club on the beach,

Victoria as a villain has about as much oomph as the barrel of fish she uses to smuggle her drugs. Nothing against Chopra; it's as if the writers were so pleased with themselves for writing a female villain they forgot to give her a personality.

Meanwhile, shady businesswoman Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra) is covertly smuggling drugs into local swanky clubs and offing any of the officials

Here, we're stuck with a generic drug smuggling/shady development scheme and a mastermind (Priyanka Chopra) admitting she's "not a Bond villain yet" when a Bond villain is exactly what a Baywatch send-up deserves

The plot, about an Indian gangster queen (Priyanka Chopra) importing drugs along the coast, is wafer-thin and perfunctory at best.

ds (Priyanka Chopra) - who doesn't go anywhere without her menacing-looking henchman - might have something to do with it.

Chopra's baddie is shamefully thin too, as she embodies a wishy-washy Bond-esque villain.

introduce Priyanka Chopra as the sultry villain who's using "The Huntley Club" as a front for nefarious deeds,

NO MENTION

Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra), and things get more pressing when bodies start dropping.
Chopra has fun as the baddie, but she stays in the background until the end of the movie and really only gets one big scene at the end of the picture.

powerful businesswoman Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra), despite the protestations of local cop
The real standout is Chopra. I've never seen her TV series Quantico, but she owns the film every second she's on screen. Victoria isn't a particularly memorable villain on the page, but Chopra is commanding, and when she gets called an aspiring Bond villain, it made me want her to be the villain in the next Bond movie. If there's one good thing that can come from the wreckage of this movie, it's for Chopra's career in Hollywood films to take off.

One involves a comically flagrant drug smuggling scheme being run by Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra),

Meanwhile, the wealthy and treacherous Victoria (Priyanka Chopra, "Quantico") is buying up all the bayside property with nefarious intent,
And if the talented Chopra also has comic chops, they remain untapped here; she's playing a character who describes herself as aspiring to being a 007 villain, but the actress finds no fun in Victoria's wickedness. Of course, if professional funny people like Huebel and Hannibal Buress can't get any laughs here either, then the problems here run far deeper.

masterminded by resort owner/villainess Victoria Leeds (Quantico's Priyanka Chopra).

to stop local businesswoman Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra) and the femme fatale's nefarious plans to take over the bay.
Chopra, whose villainess seems bored by the whole situation, would rather be eviling it up in a James Bond movie, and the fireworks-laden climax is full of punch but leans predictable and lacks excitement.

Gee, could it have something to do with Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra), the new owner of the Honda Club? Chopra, the crossover Bollywood star, preens and schemes like a vamp from "Dynasty," and the whole drugs-and-real-estate plot has a musty air of sub-"Miami Vice" intrigue " it's closer to "Starsky and Hutch."

NO MENTION

Could it have anything to do with the new club recently opened by real estate magnate, Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra)?

new local businesswoman Victoria Leeds (Chopra) is making a big splash around the town and is quickly buying up all the surrounding properties
Priyanka Chopra makes for a decent villain but isn't quite hammy enough to make her truly fiendish (again, something the film would have benefited from)

all while everyone thwarts a murderous real estate queen (Priyanka Chopra).

The villain is a developer/drug smuggler named Victoria (Priyanka Chopra), sort of an Indian parody of an '80s American TV bombshell. And the set-up is the lifeguards are onto her schemes, on the case.

one centred on a drug-trafficking op masterminded by slinky villain Victoria Leeds (Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra)

NO MENTION

Bollywood and Quantico star Priyanka Chopra plays sultry villainess Victoria Leeds, a woman up to her neck in drugs and dodgy property deals.

Even Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, the underused villain of the piece, looks like she was contractually obliged to show as much flesh as permissible.

Mitch is positive it all links back to wealthy and ambitious entrepreneur Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra).

The second half sees Buchannon and Brody go undercover to expose a drug operation masterminded by Priyanka Chopra's knock-off Bond villain, Victoria Leeds.

Baywatch Review: Priyanka's Hollywood Debut Gets The Lowest Rating

Critics have slammed Baywatch in every possible way!

May 24, 2017

Priyanka Chopra is busy promoting her upcoming Hollywood film Baywatch with her co-stars Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson. The film release on 25th May worldwide but in India it releases on 2nd June.

The first reviews for the film are out and the critics have slammed the film in every possible way. The so-not-impressive ratings of the film by the critics signify that nobody wishes to watch this Hollywood film which is an adaption of a 1990's TV show with the same name. The bad reviews might discourage the Indian viewers to book their tickets despite the presence of Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra and her oomph factor in the film.

According to most of the critics, there is an over-portrayal of red swimsuit-clad playmates running along the sandy coast of the beaches.

Priyanka Chopra's Baywatch Gets the Lowest Rating at the US Box-Office

Movie Monks says, "Baywatch' is all about a fantasy of American lifestyle that involves sun, bikinis, beaches and the red floaties they carry around while running. Nothing realistic and impactful is to be seen in the entire span of 116 minutes."

The film currently has a low rating of 14%, on Rotten Tomatoes which shows the terrible crash of the film at the Box Office. This Priyanka Chopra starrer film is one of the lowest rated film in Hollywood at the US box office.

Trending :

Steve Rose from The Guardian' wrote, "alpha-male chest-off is not worth the Hasselhoff". He added, "Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron go chest to chest in a limp big-screen update of the 90s TV show that doesn't have the wit or stamina to stay afloat."

The critic goes on saying that the filmmaker reduced the female cast of the film only to be a mere love interest of the swimsuit models. He even talked about our Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, who's the underused villain of the piece and is contractually obliged to show as much flesh as possible.

Major critics were disappointed with PeeCee for being passive throughout the course of film and for picking up a role which doesn't justify her acting skills. "Chopra has fun as the baddie, but she stays in the background until the end of the movie and really only gets one big scene at the end of the picture," Scott Mendelson from Forbes said.

The only good' review we could find among the long queue of rotten tomatoes is by Matt Goldberg from Collider'. He wrote, "If there's one good thing that can come from the wreckage of this movie, it's for Chopra's career in Hollywood films to take off."

Now we can't just wait for the Box Office collection of the film to decide the fate of this film!

I loved her in the trailer. The few scenes that she was in the trailer she shone and how. Now that's a star. Here's hoping that she gets something really good after this...yes being the main Bond villain would be awesome

She got what she wanted from Baywatch. Quantico is heavily female-skewing. So are most ABC shows. With Baywatch, she gets a new audience of teens and men. Even if the movie is bad, it will make money and more people will recognize her face.

I predict a BO flop as well. Alien has good WOM, and that should have the R demographic covered. Wonder Woman opens in a week too.

R Demographic covered 😆
Alien:Covenant had a very front loaded weekend and definitely doesn't have anything close to good WOM... It can put up a decent WW gross and is relatively cheap to other big budget fare but it's a real underperformer

Baywatch has a 40 million budget... Even in worst case, it can ride on r Dwayne Johnson's popularity and be success with a small gross
Baywatch is anyway tracking for a better debut then Alien 😆

I am more interested in Dead Men Tell No Tales... That could go anywhere
