Asmita, I said the exact same thing in some post yesterday. Do something else, do something more interesting!
Honestly, I'm not asking them to have kissing scenes in every episode. Nor am I saying that every episode should have meaningful conversation. But this "lean in, focus on lips, interrupt" is just Hindi serialistically middle class!!
Here are other ways to show romance that would give us a break from this everyday dimaag ka dahi.
1. Everyone is dancing at the sangeet, Shaurya with Mohit and Vicky and Mehak with Nehal and Sonal. She is making some awesome moves when she feels someone's eyes on her. He's staring at her, so she raises her eyebrows to ask "what?", and he smirks and shakes his head to show "wow, look at your moves". She does the "watch me" gesture and shows him a simple step to the beat, that he also starts doing. She has a "you got it" smile, and then he turns back to Mohit and Vicky and starts doing the step she just taught him.
2. Mehak is talking to someone when Shaurya comes and says "chachi is calling you". They walk away. He tells her "thank me for saving you." She asks what he means. He responds by saying "you were going totally bored talking to that aunty." She says "how did you know that? You haven't met her, you don't know her". And he says "But I do know you."
3. Mehak asks the catering people to make sure the food is healthy, Shaurya asks them to make sure the food is masaledar and dhaba style. Poor people don't know which one to follow.
4. They keep messaging each other because they are not getting a chance to talk to each other. (Remember the absolutely adorable messaging in Zindagi Gulzar Hai?) Again, they don't have to write the dialogues for this if they don't want to - but even play a song while showing them constantly messaging back and forth, thinking of each other in their own respective rooms or places and so on, absent mindedly rearranging things while waiting for a response to their messages and so on.
5. Shaurya giving Nehal or Sonal some food on a plate so that they can feed Mehak while she is getting her mehendi put. Women do this all the time - they check if their families have eaten. But when a guy does it, especially if he doesn't make a big song and dance about it, but just makes quietly sure that she has eaten, its very sexy.
6. Shaurya can tease her by trying to find out things via KK and then use them in his conversations with her. So for example KK tells her "you should wear blue, your boyfriend would like it" and then say as Shaurya "green looks better on you."
7. Neither Mehak nor Shaurya can sleep till late at night, so they run into each other in the downstairs lobby at the hotel, and end up having a coffee together. Again, don't write a conversation if you don't want to, just have them pretend to talk and play your chitrahaar to your heart's content.
8. An almost kiss is not the only way to suggest greater physical awareness of each other. A simple kiss on the finger, as opposed to kissing the hand, can convey heightened tension. As Shaurya is always kissing Mehak's hand, her kissing his finger could be her way of turning this awareness on its head. They can do other role reversals: she can send him a flying kiss, or tell him he's looking great with a wink and a smile.
