I think both Saanjh and Maya are in hospital. After shooting Saanjh, Maya might have heard Arjun's voice and she must have shot herself to confuse him.

Why should saanjh send evidence to Samay after knowing that his evidence nailed Ayaan?

Samay testified what he saw in court. He didn't actually say that Ayaan was guilty.

She thinks Samay did what he felt was right and is clueless to Samay- Maya equation.

So, answer to question, she trusts Samay, after all he is her would be husband.

Saanjh will buy this argument. But the lawyer in her should not trust a sudden fiance so easily and buy his argument. Saanjh needs a man to lean on and this fact is exploited fully by Maya and Samay.
