No it's a wrong news. Rajamouli himself told Prabhas was his one and only choice way before the script was done. Then he chose Rana and Anushka. He never consider anybody else for these roles. But he approached SriDevi for Sivagami role and 1000 thanks to her she rejected it. He considered Sonam for Tamanna's role but it was not clear whether he asked her or not.

Had the exact same discussion after we saw the second bahubali. We started guessing which Bollywood actor could play Bahubali and we couldn't think of anyone. Hrithik was the only one with the height and the build but he can over act badly. A good director can reign him in but I remember how annoyed I was with his acting in krish 2. The shaky cryingand watery eyes gave me a headache.

This movie required more than nose flaring or veins popping. At least, in part 1, hero was humble. Imagine Greek Hercules playing that.

I think Prabhas has done an excellent job as Baahubali.

To be honest, initially, I did not find Prabhas attractive. However, after both films, he has grown on me. He has worked exceptionally hard to get the right physique for the role. The best thing of all is that he looks authentically Indian.

Hrithik and his 'Greek' God looks are a bit 'alien' to Indians. Bollywood for a long time has succumbed to western and Caucasian standards of beauty brainwashed into our minds by the British. It is about time we start appreciate Indian features more.

I find him more attractive than Hrithik and I'm sure I am not alone. Indian looks are severely underrated.

With the entire cast being South Indians, Hrithik would have looked so out of place. He does not have that look to take on an Indian King. He looked convincing as Akbar the mughal emperor!But he would not fit as Baahubali! Also Prabhas gave his heart and soul to Baahubali. He lived the character for five long years with such dedication and grace and it was clearly visible on screen so I cannot imagine anyone but him as Amerendra Baahubali!! Same goes to every single actor from BB1 and BB2. The entire cast was just perfect and apt!
