When his dad was ranting and raving and insulting her, her family and her husband, a simple touch of his shoulder and holding his hand was enough to calm him, but what she also did was to stand back and let her husband speak up against his father. She wasn't hysterical or tried to stop him with tears and whining.
Now on to His Childhood Pain.
When he spoke to her of his pain over the way his father treated him and his mom and the way she died, it was the first time he let down his walls and let her in to see the pain he carries inside. And yet again she became a silent pilar of strength, she did'nt down play what he's feeling. But what caught me was at the end when she hugged him without saying anything, the look of shock on his face was a man who has never experienced unconditional love. This is a man who is so scared by his past does he have a chance of a future without her? When he tired to hide his pain behind his fake smile, she saw right through it.
Men don't always speak what's really in their hearts so when they do open up it will always be to the person they trust the most.
WELL DONE SAMMY AND KARAN! Your connection to each other to bring these fictional characters to life is amazing.
I'm just looking at the positives, because ST is determined to destroy this wonderful show.
PS This episode reminded me of a time in my short life , when my boyfriend who didn't have an easy life but built himself into a wonderful person asked me one day, and his exact words were "don't give up on me"
