Hey tibs, isn't one of the things under review repealing of the 16-18 age group being treated as adults (that was introduced after the Nirbhaya case). I could be wrong, I am no expert. At the time the last juvenile bill was introduced, I did follow it keenly coz there were other things there that were closer to heart for me. But, also because in my heart of hearts I cannot agree with a child tried as adult without considering the age, the offense, circumstances of the offender, psychological issues, mental age, etc etc. I don't know where it stands now, but at the time, this reduction had received both a lot of support and flak.

I know it is a bit of a touchy topic for many, me included, which is why I wish they had stayed away from this.
