Honestly it would have been more surprising if MPB or Sarkar 3 had taken some kind of opening...

MPB reviews seem average...Again not unexpected... I dont understand why filmmakers keep on making these generic romcoms...

And about RGV, I wonder from where he keeps getting money to make trash 😕

I don't think anyone was really interested in seeing either film. I don't see many people caring about Pari's comeback. Sarkar 3 just looks bad anyway.

Generic romcoms work with charming leads as it was in the 2000s. Parineeti is simply repeating herself 3 years later and Ayushman is not the charming sort-can make a well written movie work.

The promos and songs of MPB were impressive. Ayushman and Pari has no BO pull so it depended on superhit music and marketing.
Sarkar looked trashy and had no hype at all.

MPB music was decent...the best album this year. Which is not much as overall the year has been the poorest in terms of music in decades. But none of the songs were instant hit type.

I think this year only Barinath ki Dulhaniya had a super hit album. All expectations from Tubelight now, the bg score was great
