KKB writers/creatives/directors never respectfully use legal/medical terms in their show as per even minimum common sense of an averagely educated urban Indian.
Why are all these things being allowed to happen last 8 mths with all those detailed Tanu's functions in the show? apart from filling up episodes and drag the show there is another reason according to Aliya who stresses repeatedly these lines 'this marriage and related ceremonies are all happening due to bhai's choice he is doing it willingly. Getting married to Tanu is his decision, none of you have any say in it so step back, period'.
The reason why Aliya is so confident is even if any case has to be filed then Abhi has to be charge sheeted first for bigamy not just Tanu & her parents, priest or Aliya. So Pragya or Dadi won't do that publicly as it can damage his image & reputation.
Secondly she knows Pragya & Dadi are scared of Abhi's health and his stress attacks, and they can't risk telling him about his past marriage due to doctors warning not to disclose anything till Abhi himself retains his memory.
Thirdly Aliya knows very well oldies in both families and Pragya give importance to customs & symbols so if rituals are completed at mandap then all of them will be heartbroken and Pragya would be depressed, may commit suicide or leave Mumbai.
So Aliya doesn't seem to care whether its legal or illegal, she already told this to Dadi couple of times that she just wants to destroy Pragya, throw her out of her bhai's life and defeat Dadi & Purab by marrying her bhai to Tanu by hook or crook. She said she doesn't even care if Abhi retains his memory at a later date after he is married to Tanu, since by then his life, career & wealth will be completely under control of Taaliya, and Pragya would have evaporated into thin air. 😲
