I was watching Zubeida on Youtube this weekend and I cant help noticing lots of similarities in the plot and main storyline. I thought Zubeida might be inspired from the lives of BM but after doing some research on google I came to know that it was loosely based on the real life of Khalid Muhammed's mother. However, the execution of the story was more crisp, real and believable. Your thoughts?

Sorry I have not watched Zubeida so can't discuss. Liked Bajirao Mastani.

Zubeida is more nuanced film. Performance of the leads were beter then BM.

BM over Zubeida for me.

Rekha and Manoj were brilliant. But Karishma not so. May be I am biased but I don't connect to her acting at all. I find her performance in Zubeida a bit over-rated. Also, the same with Zubeida's character. I just couldn't understand.. what was that she really wanted from life. She was clueless.

I liked BM's screen-play and over all appeal. Granted Mastani's character was major disappointment. More fault of SLB and DP's flat toned 'ishq' dialogues didn't help the case. But Bajirao and Kashibai sealed the deal for me. Absolutely brilliant. Every scene. Every nuances. 👍🏼
