Hi guys, random question here:

Is there any character you can really relate to? Or a character you feel represents or exhibits your features?? 😛

I feel I relate to Annika and Om the most. I am quite talkative like Annika, not as much though and I don't really make up my own language.. but do have random phrases that are repeated to the extent that they become popular among family and friends..😆 I relate to them both where I love family and in terms of Om, maybe not specifically shayri, but I do talk in a senti way wuite a bit😆.. and agree on his views on social media where he says it has become a business?? Or something (Rudy and Om convo when Rudy was bragging about having more likes on a picture than Tia😆)

Maybe a little Rudy too.. because I constantly make jokes LOL.. and Soumya where I am always eating/ready to question/her chirpiness.😛

So how about you all? Any character that has particular struck you/is totally relatable😉

I started watching this show because I related to Annika on so many levels; cynicism about love and marriage, skepticism about the goodness of God and religion, go-getter, practical, independent girl against the world. I might not be as strong as she is but what she represents - it's what I feel the modern girl/woman aspires to be.

Also, I love poetry and art like Om does and am the silent type like him (although I might not seem like it on this forum 😆 ). Also - Ishana because I don't mind cheating, sometimes 😉

Omkara is actually one of my personal favourite characters in the show. I mean the older Omkara we see in the beginning, the seeker of honesty - our Sach ka boyfriend. I relate to him because I feel like I understand his pain on a certain level and I respect how he channels his pain.

I mostly love that Omkara wasn't exactly an angry young man. He was sensitive, emotional, and soulful. He channeled his pain and turned it into art, into a world of his own.

Omkara is so flawed, but that only add to the depth in his character. These flaws have been pointed out, and honestly, being called a hypocrite is perfect.

I dare say, Omkara Singh Oberoi might just be my favourite character out of all the Hindi dramas I have watched. (Although I haven't watched alot.)

Same. I love this - you've literally managed to pen down why many, I believe love Omkara. He is definitely one of my personal favourites too. As such a complicated and raw character, he definitely has introduced a new, real persona especially on Indian tv😊

Hmm, interested to know if you watch DBO now?😆

I relate to Shivaay. I have strict rules for myself and find it hard to break even for my own benefit. Though i don't understand his NKK concept, i understand having limitations/rules you set for yourself.

I always like truth seeking characters. If anyone had seen movie "satyakam" Dharmender movie for reference. I would have liked Om if he was really truth speaker. He was too weak to follow truth. Uski shayari samajh nahi aati and i like rudra completing it.😆 Rudra's is so to the point.

I do watch DBO and I'm not exactly very fond of the new Omkara. Of course, my opinion on the matter is not favourable to many fans, especially Gul, and it's quite a long opinion paper. Long story short, I do ship RiKara, but if you made me choose between IshKara or RiKara, I'd choose IshKara. However I will admit the current level of drama in DBO is enthralling. I can't help but ask what'll happen next.

I relate to shivay, a bit more strong in commitment, n I relate to old omkara , I like poetry, I find Rudy humor great, n I too kind of have good humour, actually in starting anika was like modern self respecting girl, so as girl I was relating to her but now she contridict her own self , after wedding she became too fictional like super TV bahu type ,so can't relate to her anymore

So basically I relate to some characteristics of shivomru n old anika

Ooh I agree with you on the enthralling bit. As crazy as the plots are, there is something about them LOL. Cannot wait to watch the dynamics of Rikara now as Om finds out Chulbul's truth.. this is going to be interesting!!!😛

About IshKara- I was aleays a bit apprehensive about them. I didn't like how Ishana was conning him, because I always knew Om would be hurt, and he was when the truth came out. Hence, was happy when she left. With Rikara though, as much as Gauri can be irritating sometimes, I believe she will smother Om with hope, love and affection that he is in dire need of, so yes, definitely excited over their future!
