THIS THEATRE IS SELLING BAHUBALI 2 TICKETS FOR RS 30!!
News about multiplexes hiking ticket rates for SS Rajamouli's directorial Bahubali 2: The Conclusion has been doing rounds even before the film was released on April 28. Some fans even stood in a three-kilometre long queue to buy the tickets, while others spent as much as a thousand rupees for one ticket.
However, Nandan Cinema in Kolkata might leave everyone amused as the theatre is selling the tickets for the latest of the two-film franchise at mere Rs 30 and Rs 70.
While so far some of the cheapest tickets for the sequel of Bahubali: The Beginning starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj, amounted around Rs 130, Nandan Cinema has broken all records. But don't judge the place by the ticket rates, Nandan Cinema is one of the most sophisticated and hi-end theatre in the country.
Built during the left regime in West Bengal and refurbished by the present Chief Minister of Trinamool Congress (TMC), Mamata Banerjee, the logo of Nandan was designed by none other than Satyajit Ray.
After the renovation and modernisation of the theatre in 2011, it can beat any of the multiplexes with its outstanding movie viewing experience. Every year the prestigious Kolkata International Film Festival is organised in Nandan Cinema and delegates from all over the world throng the halls of the theatre in the art hub city.
