PART - 6

A Small Precap: On the rose day, Dev purposely plants doubt in Sonakshi's mind by giving her a Red rose. On the V-Day, Vicky sees Dev sitting confused and calms him down in his own way! Later, Sonakshi recollects abt the Cafe incident happened on the Hug day, wherein dev flirting with other girls. She gets jealous and is at the point of realising her first step. The confused Devakshi were supported by their siblings. Dev decides to follow Vicky's plan to make sonakshi realize her love and thus, stays away from her on V-day. Sonakshi was completely restless and experiences a different feeling without dev. In the evening, due to Elena's teasing, sonakshi gets reminded more and more of dev. She has a mind and heart conversion to clear her restlessness. later she decides to go to party for both her sister's sake as well as her heart's sake. Finally, the ball night comes. She searches for him, only to be left disappointed. She gets revealed, when she saw Dev entering the party, who gets mesmerized by her beauty. Meanwhile, Elena comes to know abt Devakshi through Vicky, which she couldn't believe even though her wish is coming true in-front of her.

Dev went straight towards sonakshi without disturbing his eye contact with her, never minding where they are and who they are surrounded with. To them, It was the Earth stopped spinning moment except for eachother. Once he was too close to her, lended his hand for sonakshi asking her indirectly for the couple dance. Sonakshi was too lost to even come out from smiling all the way and raised her hand to accept his offer to dance, When she was about to put her hand on his hand, both Dev and Sonakshi came out of the trance as they heard Bunty announcing that only couples have to come on the stage set for dance right away. Dev cursed Bunty under his breath for spoiling his beautiful first eye contact moment with sonakshi. But the word 'Couple' made them feel awkward in that position.

Elena neither moved nor tried to open her mouth, looking at Devakshi but she stood still with eyes wide open. Vicky waved his hands in-front of her.

Elena(Blinking):Vicky, i couldn't believe it. Can Dev and Love be ever compared? Omg! This can't be true. Pinch me?

Vicky with an evil smile liked her cuteness and in the motto of taking revenge from Elena, he pinched her hard.

Elena (Screamed): Ouchhh! Hey, Have you gone mad?

Vicky let his evil smile noticed by Elena and she got to know the reason for his pinch. She wasn't interested in anymore indulging in a fight with him.

Elena: On a serious note, I wanna discuss something else with you.

Vicky at first hesitated, but later agreed as it was abt their cousins.

Bunty was observing Vicky aur Elena. He was damn sure with his thoughts that Vicky got smitten by Elena. So he decided to talk to him. He went forward to Vicky and asked him to go to Elena.

Vicky looked at Bunty blankly.

Bunty: I know dude u were affected by Elena's beauty in orange. Why don't you ask her to be ur partner for the Ball's special event.?

Vicky was bewildered at first by the straight forward suggestion of Bunty.

Vicky: Thanks Bunty, you have done a lot to me by arranging this 'Couple Dance' and you agreed instantly, when I asked you (The flashback when bunty announced the Ball in the class) am very thankful to you.

Bunty: Arre Vicky, I did it for my friends and I don't need ur thanks.

Vicky(Smiling): Ek aur help chahiye!

Bunty: Yea definitely..thanks for giving me this chance (he winked at vicky making him smile back with a wink)

Then he went to Elena and he asked her to be his partner for this ball dance. Elena wasn't sure of it and then she accepted, so that Sonakshi will get Dev's hand. Otherwise she'll stand as still, until Elena gets a dance partner.

The Girls present over there, were very surprised to see Dev at a valentine's ball b'coz they had never seen him in any valentine events. As always, those girls started praising his physique drooling over him and this made sonakshi feel little jealous but that didn't go unnoticed by Elena and she smiled to herself.

Dev was lil amused at their extra drooling moment. He discussed It with Vicky.

Dev: Vicky, what's happening man! I see, something unusual going on with these girls.

Vicky: You are at a clg party, that too in valentine's night ball (He said by raising his shoulder with enthu)

Dev: So what? It's not new for m... (He remembered he has never been into a party and trash it by calling it a waste of time and now what pulled him.? He smiled at the answer to this question and said) Yes, its all new for me.

Vicky: Yes, you are new to parties and everyone's looking surprised at you.

Jatin - Dev and Sonakshi's mutual friend for quite a long time(Read CS on Pg 1)

Jatin - Good-Looking,Well-wisher, Classmate and a Mutual friend of Devakshi. He doesn't play a role of cupid, but is actually a part of it!

Jatin came there and started teasing Dev: Oh my god Dev! Are you alright? How come you are here? You used to avoid these kind of parties na? Then suddenly what made you to come here? Uh? Tell me what changed ur mind uh uh? Tell me..(He teased making dev, making him feel uncomfortable)

Vicky was laughing inside seeing Dev's rolling eyes and Dev managed to come up with a reply.

Dev: Jatin, aesa kuch nahi yaar. Bas yuhi! Ghar pe bhetke bore maar raha tha, aaj pura din. Toh socha kuch refresh hojaye.

Jatin(Grinning): Oh! Pura din kyun ghar pe? Kuch Khaas hi?

Dev(Coolly): Arre kuch khaas nahi.. bas aese hi.

Jatin(Naughtily): Umm.. So Dev who's that lucky girl, for whom you came to the ball? (Both Dev and Vicky were amused) Is that the same Girl, with whom you had an eyecontact few mins ago? (Both Dev and Vicky felt a quake) Yea, am talking abt the same girl, you guys are trying to make her realise her feelings?

Dev suspected Vicky and gave a deathly glare to him, which could easily burn him to ashes without fire. Vicky shook his head sideways in negative and waved his hands mutually indicating he didn't say anything to Jatin.

Dev understood Vicky didn't say anything to Jatin and wondered how did he found it out! Only Vicky and I know about it then how?'

Jatin: Hello...where are you lost? Are you thinking how do I know or Are you finding excuses to make it up? So you are in love with Sonakshi right?(he winked)

Dev and Vicky were standing as if they missed a step ahead, while walking!

On the other side,

Elena, Bunty and Sonakshi were talking and laughing together discusing abt the ball. Bunty was showering Elena with praises on her beauty, how orange suits her and teased her for whom she got ready? Sonakshi too was playing along with Bunty, in pulling her leg. While Elena and Bunty were busy talking, Sonakshi turned her head to get glimpse of Dev. She kept checking him then and there. She saw both Vicky and Dev standing shocked hearing something from jatin. She was confused, lil worried, turned and gave a smile to Elena and Bunty. Elena knew Sona is stealing glances at Dev in between the conversation.

Elena(Teasing): Sona are you ok? what are you looking over that side? Anything's wrong? Is there something which belongs to you, but got struck in mid-air and refused to come away from magnet? (She indicated Sona's feelings, keeping Dev in her mind but Sonakshi was so stubborn not to accept and tried to hide with her antics)

Sonakshi: Elena, you are growing a bit naughtier nowadays. The Ball is so beautifully arranged and I am admiring the hall's beauty. Look at the Corners, Curtains, Balloons...Everything is arranged so perfectly.

Sonakshi continued happily: Bunty, you have done a great job. I really like your arrangements. It's so beautiful and the color combination is just perfect from Orange and White ballons to Pink dines. Aww... I am in love with the ball and i really appreciate your work.

The colors, interiors were chosen of Sonakshi's favourite by Dev. It was a personal setup, but he just wanted to keep everything surprised and secret to her.

Bunty: Oh Thanks Sonakshi. Everything is of your favourite (Sonakshi was lil shocked but chose to ignore as he might've said In a flow. Bunty too became alter after his slip of tongue) I have just done the work assigned to me. There is no need to appreciate me alone. My friends Vicky helped me in choosing colors and Dev suggested Interiors and everyone who helped me should also be praised.

Sonakshi was happy as Dev is also involved in the arrangements. she tried to connect every single dots to find out why he didn't come to clg.

Sonakshi(Thinking): Shayad, isse liye he didn't come to university today.

Elena was amused at Dev's care for Sona and smiled at her. She was pretty impressed with Vicky's hands on the decoration suggestions too. But her appreciating vicky is not a good sign. So she brushed off her thoughts.

Elena: That's great Bunty. Dev really has a good choice, but I never knew that bookworm(Vicky) also have a good taste, which dragged so many visitors!

Bunty and sonakshi smiled at Elena. sonakshi was taken into Dev's thoughts. She wanted to thank him for choosing such a pleasant decorations.

On the other side, Jatin-Dev-Vicky.

Dev and Vicky were standing as if they missed a step ahead, while walking!

Dev(shocked): Uh.. what? Sonakshi se.. nahi..no..How did u know?

Jatin: Bhai, we are in same class remember and I know u both since long. you know what Dev u have to grow little more buddy. I can sense u r still afraid to confess her. But this is the right time Dev. Go ahead.

Vicky: Jatin, tum ky..(cut in between by Dev)

Dev: Jatin, what you are trying to...

Jatin(cuts Dev in middle): Stop it both of you. Lemme explain. First you both need to grow up. Second you both must study the history behind me and how talented I am in playing cupid (Both Dev and Vicky were bewildered) I know very well about this valentine's week and the days comes before and after the valentine's day (Looking at Dev and smirking) Dev, the first day on this VW i.e. The Rose day. You gave a Red rose only to Sonakshi but to others, you gave different colors. And that's the first clue, I got (Jatin winked at Dev) This indicates clearly that you are in love with sonakshi and I have seen your eyes reflecting the Love you' to Sona.

Dev initially got jealous, when he called her shortly as Sona and not as Sonakshi but then he composed himself listening to Jatin.

Jatin(Explains how he got clues): And I have also seen you on all other days too. Chocolate, Hug. Maybe I missed to witness Teddy-bear day but the next day, I saw Sona lost in her daydream and talked abt the teddy to Elena at canteen.

Dev was standing shocked but smiled at remincising those moments. How he gifted her a box full of Chocolates by saying he felt like presenting her. And How he went to her home to gift her a Teddy bear saying he came across this during his shopping, as she loves teddy but in the name of friendship.

Vicky was bewildered at Jatin's explaination, recollected his journey through the week with Dev and his plans and how he was struck playing cupid, spending sleepless nights to plan b'coz of Dev's blabberings!

Vicky(Complaining): Jatin, he even did a lot more. He never allowed me to sleep at night last week

Jatin(making fun of vicky): Umm.. so that's why you always slept during class hours. Now I understood. You know what Vicky, I was doing a research why a nerd like vicky sleeps in class hours? But now it's completed (he winked at Vicky)

Vicky stared at him in disbelief.

Dev(lil tensed): Vicky, Jatin I.. yeah I agree you are expert in analysing.. but all this is new to me and I am very afra..

Before Dev could complete his sentence Jatin questioned him in the middle: Afraid? Dev, I know you are afraid of confessing your love but listen today is the best chance for you man. So relax and clear your mind. I have never seen Devrath Dixit afraid of something in his life. And if he is afraid, then it must be a special and close to his heart. And I say, don't lose the feeling that made u afraid of! Confess and see. Am sure, you will be best at it! Just be confident and go ahead

Jatin's every single word made Dev feel more respect for this man, whom he thought is an hurdle between him and Sonakshi all the years. As Sonakshi and Jatin shared the same bond as he did with Sona..but that was a friendship bond and it's love that binds Devakshi! Now he knows, Jatin is not that bad as he thought so.

Dev(Smiling with confidence): Yeah I have to and I will. Thank you so much jatin, for giving me this confidence!

He gave him a hug. Vicky too joined them. They came out of their buddy hug.

Dev looking at Vicky and said: Jatin, I should have asked this help from you instead of Vicky whom I forced to help me

Vicky(Faking Anger): Dev bhai, you wouldn't have done all this without me. Remember I am the one, who gave you this idea and Sonakshi too missed you today. She must've realised her love for you by now!

Dev: But still she never showed any reaction of missing me all day long (He said worried looking at sonakshi who was standing at a distance talking and laughing with Elena and Bunty) Seems like, it's only from my side!

Jatin(Tired of their talks): Hey guys, pls stop this sad drama type talks. We have to do a lot more and u must now step on the dance floor.

Suddenly something striked Dev's mind by hearing to Jatin's tips.

Dev: Jatin,wait.. Have you ever played like a cupid between any other couple? (Jatin gave him a astonished look. Understanding that, Dev tried to give an explanation) Am just asking this because you seem to be like the one, who knows everything abt this.

Jatin smiled, nodding his head agreeing that he has done something like this before to get a couple close from fighting their feelings for too long to confess eachother.

Dev and Vicky got shocked: What!? You did? To whom, did u play cupid?

Jatin(Grinning): Hey guys, don't be so shocked. There is a news more shocking news than this, if I say for whom I played a cupid (He said smirking and running his hands through his hair)

Vicky and Dev looked at eachother rolling their eyes and together they asked him, as they couldn't wait anymore.

Vicky and Dev: Batao! Kaun hai woh couple?

Jatin: Well, Dev its (He raised his hands and showed a couple at a distance standing near the curtain behind sonakshi's group)

Dev and Vicky's eyes popped out seeing the couple. It's Ronita (Dev's sister) and Sourabh (Sonakshi's brother)

Dev(shocked): JOTIN! (Grabbing his collar)YOU FOOL?! YOU PLAYED CUPID FOR THEM? TO MY SISTER? UNBELIEVABLE! (Left jatin's collar) Goddammit! WHEN? HOW? MY DI DIDN'T SAY A THING TO ME?

Vicky(Sadly): Yes, humara Di ne kuch bhi nahi kaha!

Jatin laughed, which irritated Dev more. He was angry that behind his back, he played a cupid for his own sister, like a possessive brother. So was Vicky. Though it's Ronita's decision and Sourabh is like their own elder brother, still both were possessive for their sister and her happiness.

Jatin(laughing): Dev, relax. She wouldn't have got chance, as they became a couple since this morning. They both were same as you both (Devakshi) playing hidden games and not coming directly to face eachother. So I helped Sourabh confesse his love this morning and to our surprise, your sister accepted him the next moment. Now they are officially bf and gf.

Dev and Vicky still not convinced and said together: Man, you are unbelievable! Woh DiDi hai humara! (Dev and Vicky both looked at eachother surprisingly and Jatin smiled at his buddies)

Jatin: Now pls, stop ur argument with me. Otherwise I will go and tell Sonakshi everything before you do! (He threatened Dev)

Dev(Jealously striking him already): No! Rukho! I'll move now.

Vicky: All the best Dev bhai (He winked at him)

Dev gave him a cold look. Along with Jatin, he walked towards Sonakshi's group.

Jatin: Dev, listen question whatever you wanna know to ur sister tomorrow, but don't spoil their dance now.

Dev: I won't. But this thing is getting on my nerves.

Jatin: Haha be cool. Waiting to hear more from u eagerly.

Dev: Atleast there is someone, who is ready to hear to my blabbers.

Jatin smiled waving his hand. Dev went to sonakshi directly without even thinking for once that he is going ask her to be his dance partner. No nervousness. He wanted to make it special. Sonakshi saw him coming and was mesmerized by his dashing look, an effect of not meeting him for a whole day. She observed him being so cool as just they used to be as always, other than this hide and seek from the past few days. She smiled at him, making Dev to gain more confidence in him.

Dev(stood infront of her, no sort of nervousness): Sonakshi, will you be my dance partner for tonight?

Sonakshi was taken aback seeing him directly asking her, as if proposing.

Sonakshi was about to open her mouth in O' shape seeing him so cool and her antic mind wanted to play along and decided to reject but Dev didn't allow her to talk a single word. Instead, he forwarded his hands with smirk playing on his lips confusing her more with his behaviour. Sonakshi didn't know what to do and stood confused!!!
